Present : J.B.Berkeneyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J:Defosset. Absent Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer. The following applications for per:ait to build were granted on motion of H -E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset, with the provision that Geo. W. Bates, Contractor named in I Lingo -elins hI. Ferrini a;:plication, take a license for Contracting: s. ndrews Estate - 3emodeling middle wing of Hotel ,ndrews 31oc15- 18 Cost w 3,000.00 Dr. A.A._lorton - addition to building Block 86 Cost 19,600.u0 Joseph Keys - addition to 3esidence Block 27 Cost 900.00 Angelina IT..Ferrini - Garage part lot 6 Block 38 Cost 150.00 Dr. A.A.Norton - To raze frame building in Bloc;: 86 to clear way for brick building. The application of ld.J.Charters for permit to break sidewalk on east side of Broad Street between Higuera Street and EQ-rsh Street for the purpose of installing roof drain was granted, on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by J- B- Berk-emeyer with the provision that work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. On motion of Ii -F -Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the application of Chester Fulton for license for Taxicab was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council. The report of the "ity Treasurer fDr the ,:ionth of February was received and ordered filed on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.3.Cox. _'.pplications for the regular quarterly licenses were grunted, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by n.E.Cox. On ;potion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.3erkemeyer the following applications for licenses were granted : Dora T4omaa Lodging house 1011 I:Iorro Street J.C. Pheeters Lunch Counter 1015 iiorro Street al G. Barnes Circus Exposition Park. On favorable report of the Building Inspector, it was moved by H.E -Cox, seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer and carried, that J- H.Logan be permitted to move a building from parts of lots 11 -12 and 13 Block 94 I;iurray and Church .,ddition to the rear of lots 2 and 3 1lippon Tract. Applications of Cline's Electric Shopfor permit to hang Neon Signs at I,Iaddalena Service Station on Higuera Street, and at the Shanghai Low Eestaurant at 830 Palm Street, were granted, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox, with the provision that said signs be hung in accordance with Ordinance and under the supervision of the City Engineer.
