City Council met in regular session - I;Iayor L. F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Coz, L.J.Defosset, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent None.
The minutes of Iday 16th, 23rd and 31st were read and approved as read on motion of
L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemayer.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of H.F,.Cox
seconded by L.J.Defosset:
Dr. J. Hamblin - Remodel Store Front Block 10 cost $300.00
Harvey Greenfield - addition of room, Lot 4 Block 4 Cost $350.00
The application of Harry J. Laird for permit to lay 150 feet of 5 foot park sidewalk,
curbing and gutter on, the east side of Vlard Street between Sandercock Street and High Street,
and 50 feet of 5 foot park sidewalk, on the North side of Sandercock Street between ;;lard Street
and Story Street was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
Application of Albert Jerome for license for Dining Room, at Hotel Andrews, vas
referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council.
Petition of 011ie Hughes for permit to attach two wooden signs ( 3 ft x V ) to
sides of 1.1arquee in front of Wineman Hotel, 851 Higuera Street, was referred to the
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council, on
motion of H.B.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
Petition of J.3.Ling, for permit to string a banner across I:Ionterey Street at Santa.
iosa Street, for the purpose of directing visitors to Cambria Rodeo, June 25th and 26th, was
referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the
Council, on .Notion of H.H.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
The report of the City Treasurer for the ayonth of April 1932, and the reports of the
City Collector and Police Judge for the month of I.Iay 1932 were received and ordered filed.
Petition of irs.B. Giovanotti et al, ordered received and placed on. file on notion of
John Chapek seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
Claims against the City for the -month of Iday mere ordered paid subject to the
lapproval of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of John Chapek seconded by
IH. E. Cox.
Application of the Midland Counties Public Service Corporation X203 for grant of
Iright of way for transmission line over and across Lots 2 and 3 of Section 30, Township 30 S.,
R. 13 B., was referred to the Mayor, on motion of John Chapek seconded by L.J.Defosset.
Petition of Isladdalena Firestone Service,by H.M.Pease, for permit to install two 1000
Igallon gasoline storage tanks and two electric rieter pumps at Service Station Higuera and Osos
Streets was referred for additional data.
