On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the petition of the Christian
Science Church for permit to place sign posts at corner of harsh and Garden Streets and at
corner of Higuera and Garden Streets, was denied.
Petition of the County of San Luis Obispo for permit to connect a proposed sewer
on Grand Avenue with the main lineof the City Sewer at Grand Avenue and I:Iurray Streets was
again laid over.
Matter of an Ordinance licensing contractors was continued.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the following licenses were ordered
cancelled

City Attorney for collection.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer, Vice President of the Council
John Chapek, was granted a ten days leave of absence.
On motion of 1I.E.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the meeting adjourned to ilonday,
June 13th 1932, at 7.30 P. AI.

City Council met in adjourned session - L3ayor L. F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent . None.
The application of W. M. Rockwell Sign Company for permit to place two signs,
12" x 18" on face of Wineman Building at Chorro and Higuara Streets for iaat - Car Drug Store
was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council.
The petition of Maddalena Firestone Service, by H.I.I.Pease, for permit to install
two 1000 gallon gasoline storage tanks and two electric meter gasoline pumps at Service
Station, corner Higuera and Osos Streets was granted, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by
J.B.Berkemeyer, with the provision that work be done in accordance with provisions of
Ordinance, under rules and regulations of Board of Fire Underwriters and under the super-
vision of the City Engineer.
Application of 011ie Hughes for permit to attach two signs ( 3 ft x 8" ) to the
sides of I,Iarquee in front of Wineman Hotel, 851 Higuera Street, was granted on motion of
L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer, with the provision that said signs be removed at the
pleasure of the Council.
