City Council met in adjourned session - Vice President of the Council John Chapek
presiding :
Present : John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Lefosset.
Absent J:B.Berkemeyer, ::isyor L.F.Sinsheimer,
Application of the 4cstern auto Supply Company for permit to alter front of building
on '.Iorro Street between :.Iarsh :;treat and riiguera Street, Lot 9 Block 104 ?3ission Vineyard
Tract, at a cost of $45.00 was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset.
Petition of the destern Auto Supply Company for permit to ramp sidewalk, 30 inches
from curb line for a distance of 15 ft. , on Idorro Street in front of llestern auto Supply Cots
Store Room, was granted on motion pf H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset, with the provision that
work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer.
The following petitions for permit to hang signs were referred to the Commissioner of
Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council:
I:fildred L.elilson ( Bobette Beauty Shop ) I•Jetal Sign Warden Sr. Building 762 Higuera Street
Brady Display Signs I.Ietal sign for ''d.C.Carpenter 1131 Chorro Street.
Petition of John B.Berkemeyer for permit to cut pavement, 2 ft x 3 ft , on blest side
of Chorro Street between Elonterey Street and Higuera Street for the purpose of repairing a leak
in Sewer was granted on motion of H.B.Clox seconded by L.J.Defosset.
The application of C.D.Stowe for permit to install an ddi.tional gasoline pump at
Aut -O -Tel Service Station, in accordance w.ith'application on file, was referred to the
Commissioner of Public Hellth and Safety for report to the Council, on motion of H.E.Cox
seconded by L.J.Defosset.
The request of Theo. I ;I. itaino for per-mit to cut down sidewalk and curb for a
distance of 14 ft on the :south side of Higuera Utreet between :•Iorro Street and Osos Street for
driveway to private parking lot was held over for O.L. of Cit17 engineer.
On favorable report and :notion of L.J.Defosset seconded by L - -.Cox the petition of
ed C. Kimball for permit to install a 10,000 gallon gasoline storage tank at Service Station
t righ and Higuera Street tras granted.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the following applications for licenses
re 6-ranted :
.H.Carter - Billiards and Pool, Soft Drinks and Cigars Sideline at 1006 .railroad Avenue.
:A.Bo d - Dance Hall 977 Higuera Street 6 Idaino Building ).
Final Action on Ordinance Ido. 166 ( ;dew Series ) An Ordinance pertaining to the
Licensing of Contractors was again continued.
On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the meeting adjourned.
