Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L,Ji"Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer, Absent None. In a communication Disabled American Veterans, by I.Ne Conklin, Chairman, requested permission to hold a parade on certain streets of the City on Tuesday, Inlay 30th 19339 at 10 o'clock A.M., which request was granted, on motion of L,J.Defosset seconded by R.P.Howell, Invitation was extended to the Council by the said organization to participate in said parade. Communication ordered placed on file. Those members of the Council who so dead to participate. Clerk to acknowledge invitation. Application of the Filipino Club, by V.B.Lledins, for license for Soft Drinks and Cigars Sideline at 887 Palm Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and for report to the Council , as was also, the application of Cline's Electric .;hop for permit to hang a ileon Sign for R.W.Shelby at 975 Osos Street. Application of Simon Levi Company, Ltd., for license to sell " Beer " referred to Commissioner of Public Health and.Safety for report to the Council on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell. Petition of E.Taylor Smith, et al, in re re- assessment of.all property within the City of San Luis Obispo received, Matter discussed and on motion of R.P.Hoviell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the matter was laid over to the next meeting of the Council. meeting, Petition of P..�..H.Arata in re cancellation of delinquent Tax continued to the next On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the application of the Pay'n Takit Store Co.., by E.D.Ward, Mgr., for license for " Retail Off Sale License for beer , was denied on the:grouid that the principal place of business of the petitioner is not in the City of San Luis Obispo, as provided in Ordinance No. 170(New:Series), Joseph Leary voted "No"' The application of C.E.Cooper for license for Cigars Sideline at 280 Higuera Street granted on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer. Application of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for permit to do certain rk on Story Street near P.C. Railway tracks for investigation and report to the Council, referred to the Commissioner of Public Works Petition of T.F.Weaver et.al. in :re certain improvements at 1416 palm Street cont On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the following license was ordered cancelled : # 1734 - Geo.W.- McCabe Auto Accessories 6000 1datter in re license of R.L:Reynolda and C.D.St Clair for license for Taxicab continued. Further effort to be made for collection.. In re license of.Mission Taxi : It was m6ved by J.B.Berkemeyer and seconded:by R.P.Howell that the owner of the Mission Taxi Company be cited to appear before this Council Monday, June 5th 1933 at 7:30 P.id., to show cause why said U'ompany should not pay license on a third car alleged to be used in said business. The matter of certian proposed amendments to Contractor's Ordinance # 166 ( New Seri Nas discussed and continued to the next meeting . applications of H.E.Clark and 1;7illiam T Walker for license for Contractor continued. In re proposed amendments to license Ordinance No. 76.( idew &Jeries ). in re Bakeries and Laundries: City Clerk directed to notify local Bakers and the 1vaber -Baking Company, and local Laundry owners to appear before the Council, Iionday, June 5th 1933, at 7 :30 P.M, to present their views relative to said proposed amendments,
