Application of S.E.Anderson, together with Bond, for license for Beverage " On Sale
at 1032 Chorro Street granted and Bond approved, on motion of H.P.Howell seconded by Joseph L
Application of Soper & Son for permit to install one 250 gallon Gasoline storage
tank and sidewalk pump at 2040 Broad Street granted, on motion duly seconded and carried,
with the provision that work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer, and with the
further provision that same be removed at the pleasure of the Council.
On motion of ?.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary the following petitions were gran
Clifford H. Smith - to change position of Barber Pole at 1110 Chorro Street.
The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co - to attach raised letter sign to face of building at
887 Higuera Street.
Cline's Electric Shop - to hang vertical double faced Neon sign::.st-:-AndersonlHotel.
Claim of H.C.Woods in the amount of $ 40.00 for refund on licenses paid for
Insurance Agency at 1121 Broad Street, granted on lotion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary
Application of '.:rs. Lyda Welsh for per,ait to lay 76 feet of full width sidewalk
on the north side of Palm street between Essex Street and Johnson Street granted on motion of
J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by P.P.Howell.
On favorable report and motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary the
petition of Elizabeth Johe for permit to remove an Eucalyptus tree from premises at 221
Hsthway Avenue , granted.
The following matters pending were continued: Petition of I�1.3.Tonini in re
Sycamore Street; Petition of P.A.H.Arsts re Tax Sales; Petition of T.F.'heaver re premisE
at 1416 Palm Street,and the application of H.E.Clark for registration as Class "E" Contractor.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by D.P.Howell the meeting adjourned to
