On motion of ,.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer all Bids received were taken under advise +ment. Ordinance No. 177 ( New Series An Ordinance amending Section 37* of Ordinance No. 76 ( New Series ) re license for Sign painting , was finally passed on moti of J.B.Berkemeger seconded by R.P.Howell by the following vote: Ayes : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary. Noes : L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent : None. Matters pending were continued to the next meeting. Re : Electric Lights on Osas. Street: It was moved by Joseph Leary and seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer and carried that a string of 10 overhead electric lights be installed at Street intersections on Osos Street between E1 -la Street and Pacific Street. Work to be done by !3idland Counties Public Service Corporation service Engineer under the supervision of the City Engineer, Re: Proposed overhead Electric Lights in Anholm Addition and North Broad St: It was moved by L.J.Defosset, seconded by J.B.Berke;aeyer and carried that the City Engineer make survey with 111idland Counties Public Service Corporation Engineer and furnish the Council with sketch showing locations where lights are most needed. Berkemeyer was nominated and duly elected Chairman of the meeting. Present : J.B.Berke:aeyer, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary . Absent : L.J.Defosset, L.F.Sinsheimer, The report of the City Clerk for the month of July was received and ordered filed on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary. On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary the application of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, under date of August 23rd. 1934, for permit to do certain work as set out in said application on file, was referred to the Couaissioner.of public ,Yorks and the City Engineer for investigation and report. Petition of Thomas J. Marree relative to foot path in the vicinity of 1034 George Street.( Terrace Hill District ) was referred to the Cor:imissioner of Public Works. 27 2 License Report of the City Col]ector for July quarter 1934 was.referred to the next meeting. The Thirty - eighth Annual Report and Budget of the San Luis Obispo Free Public Library for the fiscal year ending June 309 1934 was received, and ordered placed on fil( on motion of 3.P-Howell seconded by Joseph Leary. In re Bids submitted on Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance: It was moved by Joseph Leary and seconded by R.P.howell that the Bid of Fvens Brokerage for the anount of $ 333.84 being the lowest Bid received, the insurance be awarded that Company. The motion carried and it was so ordered. All unfinished business was continued to the next meeting.
