The minutes of September 17th and 24th were read and approved as read on motion of H.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary. The application of G.A.'Hartman for license for Restaurant at 995 iiiguera Street, and the petition of D.Z.Babcock for permit to place a sign at 685 Higuera Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howel•1. The reports of the City,Collector and the Police Judge for the month ending September 30th 1934 were received and ordered filed, on motion duly seconded and carried. Application of .idland Counties Public Service Corporation IT 221 for.permit to do certain work on Buchon Street between "orro Street and South Broad Street, as more particularly set out in application on file, was referred to the Commissioner of Public ':iorks for investigation and report to the Council, on :notion of �I.P,Eowell seconded by Joseph Leary. Revised application of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, bearing date of august 23rd 1934, for various work as set out in said application on file, was granted on favorable report and motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by L.J.Defosset. Claims against the City for the month of September were ordered paid, on motion of :..P.nowell seconded by L.J.Defosset, subject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments and the Mayor. After discussion with representatives of Du$e's Plaster Bakery relative to license fee for Outside Bakery - it was moved by R.P.Howell and seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer that the matter lay over for further consideration by the Council. -Re : application of 11idland Counties Public Service Corporation J 220 for )verhead electric Lights in Anholm Addition and .aorth Broad Street: Commissioner J.B.Berkemeyer reported favorable and on his motion seconded by R.P.Howell the application was ordered granted. 1 I 1
