Application of Liidland Counties Public Service Corporation i 221 for permit to
remove and replace a 45 ft pole located on the South side of Buchon Street, 150 ft west
of Morro Street was granted on favorable report and motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by
Joseph Leary.
Petition of protest of Duke's piaster Bakery re: payment of license fee of
a 100.00 per year for outside Bakery, doing business within the City of San Luis Obispo,
1 as required by Section 95J of Ordinance No. 171 ( New Series j was denied,'on motion of
R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
All matters pending were continued to the next meeting.

by J.B.Berke :aeyer, seconded by L.J.Defosset and carried that the matter be turned over to
the Police Department.
Layor L.F.Sinsheimer announced the death of P.A.H.Arata , Postmaster of the
City of ban Luis Obispo and former Councilman, paying eloquent tribute to the memory of
the Public Official, and requesting that when the Council adjourn it do so in respect to
the memory of the deceased.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary the Council adjourned, in
espect to the memory of P.A.H.Arata, to Monday, October 22nd 1934. at 7 :30 P.L.I.

City council met in adjourned session - vice President of the Council
L.J.Defosset presiding.
Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, ??.P.Howell, Joseph Leary.
Absent : Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer.
1 Petition of FJ.C.Haas for permit to change location of a sign from 1121 Higuera
Street to 1040 Higuera Street was referred to the Commissioner of public Health and Safety
for report to the Council.
Petition of Leona Johnson Maring for three water service connections on Los Osos
Road ( Jeff Johnson Place ) was referred to the Co�xaissioner of Public works for investigat:
and report to the Council.
:deport of the Pound Master for the month of September 1934 received and ordered
placed on file on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary.
In a co :amunication Grace :Irate thanked the Council for message of sympathy and
flowers sent in memory of P.A.H.Arata deceased.
