On motion duly seconded and carried the request of the American Legion Post
No 66 granted permit to hold a parade on I:fonday, November 12th , celebrating Armistice
Day, also to distribute hand bills, advertising the event, from an d'irplane.on Saturday,
ovember 10th.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month ending September-30th 1934,
and of the City Collector for the month of October 1934 were received and ordered placed
file.
C16ims against the City for the month of October 1934 were ordered paid subject
o the approval of the heads of the respective departments and the Ilayor, on motion of
.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary.
Communication of the Valley Electric Company relative to a certain unpaid bill
s referred to the Commissioner of Finance for investigation and adjustment, on motion of
oseph Leary seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
Petition of 13.C.Haas for permit to change location of sign from 1121 Higuera
ree t to 1040 Higuera Street granted on motion duly seconded and carried.

Matter of proposed I1eon Signs for the North and South entrances to the City
.Re : new Flag for City Hall . It was moved by J.B.Berkemeyer, seconded by
.2-Howell and carried that the Commissioner of Supplies be authorized to purchase an

Re : additional Electric Lights : It.wasl-:moved by R.P.Howell, seconded by
oseph Leary and carried that Midland Counties Public service Corporation be asked to
bmit map of proposed additional lighting installation.
The City Attorney brought up the matter of the Closing of yard Street between
he Southerly line of Sandercock Street and the Northerly line of Branch Street. City Cleri
reported that no protests had been filed. Batter discussed, and on motion of
J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell was continued to I.`onday, November 19th at 7 :30 p,y.
for full attendance of the Council.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary the meeting adjourned to
Tuesday, November 13th 1934 at 7 :30 P.I.1,
