City Hall, I:Ionday, February 25th 1936 - 7 :30 P.i?,
City Council met in adjourned session - Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, 3.P.Howell, Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : L.J:Defosset.
Application of the County of San Luis Obispo for permit to construct a Court
House Building ( Concrete and Brick construction ) on lots 1 and 4 and a part of lots
2 and 5 , Block 24 at a Cost of $s 225,000.00 was granted on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer
seconded by R.P.Howell.
The application of J.H.Cole for license for Lunch Counter on Higuera Street
between Broad Street and Uipomo Street, and the application of Cline's Electric Shop for
permit to move a Neon Sign from 1021 ,Iorro Street to I,Iotz property at corner of Garden
and Pacific Street, were referred to the CO :missioner of Public Health and ;safety for
investigation and report to the Council. 1
Circular letter from League of California Municipalities read and ordered placed
on file.
applications of Ididland Counties Public Service Corporation IJo 222 , Ido. 2e3 and
ido. 224 for certain proposed work upon Buchon and Garden Streets between Broad Street and —.
Morro Street; upon 3uchon Street between Santa :,osa and Essex Street, and upon High -
Sandercoek, Story and 'Broad Streets respectively, were referred to the Commissioner of
Public . -works for investigation and report to the Council on motion pf R.P.Howell seconded
by Joseph Leary.
The report of the City Clerk for the month ending January 31st 1935, was received
and ordered placed on file.
Blank Agreement between Midland Counties Public Service Corporation and the City
of San Luis Obispo re : proposed new Street Lighting System referred to the City Attorney 1
on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary.
The report of the City Collector on unpaid licenses for January quarter 1935
,vas received.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the following licenses avere

un motion of R,P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer license 1487 - January quart
1935 - issued to W-C.Henderson,for Merchandise Autos and :accessories at 1403 %ipomo Street
was referred to the City attorney.
On motion dilly seconded and carried all unpaid licenses were referred to the
Police Department for collection.
Petition of the Christian Science Church for permit to move a sign from Bank of 1
America corner to a position in front of Woolworthe Store, was continued for report from
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety.
Petitions of D.H.and Flora E. Foree, and of Irene J. Carpenter for refund on Taxes
laid over to some future data.
Re: inspection of construction of new Court House 3uilding ; iiatter to be looked
into by City's Building Inspector for report at the next meeting.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by U.P.Howell the meeting adjourned.
