at Winter Garden were withdrawn by applicant.
Application of Midland Counties Public Service Corporation 225 for certain
work upon Phillips Lane between Grove Street and Fark Street was granted on favorable report
and motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary.
Applications of 1-idland Counties Public Service Corporation rr 222, 223, 224 and
226 continued for further investigation.
Re : license report for January quarter 1935. `latter continued until Chief
of Police is present. '
City Attorney presented draft of an Ordinance licensing outside Sign Company @a doing
business within the City. ?,letter discussed and continued to the next meeting.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the meeting adjourned.

City Hall, Idonday, April let 1935 - 7 :30 p.M.
City council met in regular session - Vice President of the Council L- J- Defosset
presiding,
Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell,•Joseph Leary.
Absent : Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer.
The minutes of-March 18th and 25th were read and approved as read on motion of
R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell with the provision that the Contractors named therein
take license for contracting:
Richfield Oil Co (. W.T.Reid Co Bldg ) - Remodel portion of building into Service Station
Block 30 at a Cost of 6,500.00
Emma D. Brown - Residence and,Garage pt lot 1 Block 56 Cost 29000.00
The following applications for permit to build were granted subject to the
approval of the Building Inspector :
B.C.and Arletta Dennis - Two room House Lot A Block 2 Central Addn Cost 19000,00
Nis and Frances Jacobsen - New front & remodeling temporary Bldg Lot 22 Blk 61 75.00
Application of G. Silva for license for Bakery at 575 Vorth Broad 6treet , and
the application of B.C.Dennis,Jr, for permit to hang a metal Coca -Cola sign at 894 Higuera
Street were referred to the Commissioner o£ Public Health and Safety for investigation
and report to the Council.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the report of the City Collector
for the month of march was received and ordered filed.
On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary claims against the City for the
aonth of march were ordered paid subject to the approval of the heads of the respective
departments and the ileyor.
Petition of Swift and Company for permit to install one 280 gallon underground
gasoline storage tank at 573 Higuera Street, granted, with the provision that work be done
under supervision of the City Engineer and in accordance with rules and regulations of
board of Pire underwriters.
