City Council met in regular session - Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.

The minutes of May 20th and 27th were read and approved as read on motion of
.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
The application of Walter J. Partin for license for Tobacco as a Side Line at 10
orro Street, Mulholland's Grill, referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety
or report to the Council.
Petition of J.H.League for permit to hang a sign ( cloth frame .) at Winter
lding referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council
The reports of the City Treasurer and the City Collector for the month of April
the month of May respectively were received and ordered filed on motion duly seconded
carried.
The Council not wishing to set a precedent : the petition of L.F,.Reynolds
requesting the use of the Council Chamber for the regular weekly meetings of United Worke
Local J 1 was denied. Joseph Leary voted " NO "
Claims against the City for the month of iuiey were ordered paid, on motion of
R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer, subject to the approval of the heads of the respect
departments and the Mayor.
Petition of 1- Tidland Counties Public Service Corporation No 228 for certain work
on Chorro Street between Islay Street and Pismo Streets, and the petition of R.S.Shatford
for Sewer service on Lixsie Street were laid over.
The applications of Hamberger.- Orchard ( J.C.iLcPheeters ) for license for
Restaurant at 1015 ?aorro Street were granted.
On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by L.J.Defosset the following license was canceled:
January qt. 1935 : 1751 - Franco F Chavis & D.F.Yana Soft Drinks 5.00
On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by L.J.Defosset the following licenses were
referred to the City Attorney for collection:
January qt. 1935: # 1721 - Dr John W. Nielsen

Delinquent licenses of Rockwell Sign Co 2576 Ap =i1 quarter 1934, and # 495 for
July quarter 1934 were left over to the Commissioner of Finance and the Commissioner of
SIPplies for adjustment.
