City Council met in regularly adjourned session - Layor L.F.Sinsheimer
presiding.
Present : J.B.Berkeaeyer, L.J.Defosset, n.P•Howell, Joseph Leary, L.F.5insheimer.
Absent None.
The minutes of August 19th and 26th were read and approved`as read on motion
duly seconded and carried.
1828 Braod Street for purpose of Sewer repair, granted on motion of J.B.Berke,ueyar seconde
by Joseph Leary.
Petition of F.C.Limball for permit to install Two ( 2 ) 12000 gallon gasoline
storage tanks at Service Station, Higuera and Pismo Streets, referred to Commissioner of
Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council,

eport of the City Collector for the month of August 1935 received and ordered
placed on file.
. Commmnication Prom United Workers Association, Local # 1 received and ordered
placed on file.
' Claims against the City for the month of August 1935 were ordered paid subject
to the approval of the heads of the respective departments and.the Mayor, on motion of
R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
Ordinance No, 180 ( New Series ) An Ordinance levying a Tax for the current
Fiscal year ( 1935 -1936 ) upon all taxable property within the City of San Luis Obispo, and
fixing the rate of such Tax at $ 1.43 on each one hundred dollars in value of said property
was finally pas-ed, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by R-P,Howell by the following vote:

On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by L.J.Defosset the following applications
for permit to lay�zixdewalk, curbing and gutter were granted :
J.S.Kinney - 50 ft 5ft park sidewalk, curbing and gutter on the south side of Church
Street between broad Street and Nipomo Street.
Southern Pacific iuillg Co - 147 ft of curbing and 5 ft gutter on :the south side of High
Street between Santa Barbara Avenue and Southern Pacific Cos.,
right of way; Curb lii;e to be constructed 5' 7" from High
Street property line.
L•iatter of collections on unpaid licenses continued for one week.
' Resolution No. 391 ( New Series ) A Resolution declaring vacant the Office of
Street Superintendent, City Engineer, Superintendent of the City eater Works and Building
Inspector, and removing from Office any person claiming to hold any of said Offices, was
introduce and adopted on :lotion of J.B.Berke,neyer seconded by R.F.gowell by the following
vote :
Ayes : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, .P.gowell, Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Noes : None.
