Petition of 3undle's, Inc., for permit to hang a neon Sign at Blue Bell Bakery
i;Ionterey Street, and the petition of Freeman Sign Service for permit to hang Two metal
signs at John Norton Drug Store, were referred to the Co.::missioner of Public Health and
Safety for investigation and report, on motion of J.B.Berke.ieyer seconded by R.p.Howell.
Application of Lawrence Bonjour for registration as a Class " E " Contractor,
together with United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company 3ond in the amount of $ 500.00
and license fee of 0 15.00 was received , and on motion of a..p.Howell seconded by
J.B.Berkemeyer the Bond was approved and application granted.
The reports of the City Clerk, City Treasurer and police Judge for the month
ending October 31st 1935, received and ordered placed on file on motion of R.P.Howell
seconded by L.J.Defosset.
On motion of R.p.Howell seconded by L.J.Defosset claim of the City Tax Collec
in the amount of $ 201.52 , same being for First Installment of Tax due for the year 1935-
1936 from the City of Qan Luis Obispo for the improvement of palm Street, Lower Higuera
Street and Broad Street, was passed. Clerk directed to draw warrant on Interest Fund
for said amount.
Claim of Producers Transportation Company in the amount of $ 173.29, being
equest for refund of Taxes paid as unsecured personal property and, also assessed on Utili
oil for 1935 -36 by the State Board of Equalization thereby causing a double assessment,
as referred to the Commissioner of Finance with power to instruct Clerk to draw warrant if
lain is found in order. The motion carried.
Petition of J.H.Lirchner and John W. Collier requesting that their names be
tricken from a certain petition now on file with the City of San Luis Obispo for Sewer
Stenner Street north of Murray Avenue was received and ordered places on file.
Re : proposed Sewer project for California Park District ( Outside City )i
nneth Beck, City Engineer, submitted report on sewage flow. Discussion. On motion
Joseph Leary seconded by J.B.nerkemeyer the City Attorney was directed to prepare a draft
an agreement for presentation to.the Council for their discussion.
At the request of the Council City Engineer Kenneth Beck presented plans and
specifications for the construction of Sewer main on Stenner and Murray Streets. After
discussion it was moved by L.J.Defosset, seconded by J.B.3erkemeyer that the said plans and
specifications be adopted and approved. The motion carried.
On motion of _,.F.Howell seconded by Joseph Leary the petition of the Pacific
lephone and Telegraph Company protesting the assessment levied against the said Company
y the State Board of Equalization on the Utility Roll of 1935 -36 was received and ordered
laced on file.
The report of the City Collector on Unpaid Licenses for October quarter 1935
erred to the Police Lepart;aent for action, on motion duly seconded and carried.
Claims against the City for the month of Jovember 19;b5 were ordered paid, on
tion of H.P.Howell seconded by L.J.Defosset, subject to the approval of the heads of the
espective departments and the Mayor.
District Supervisor of liational Youth requested an informal meeting with the
Council Tuesday, December 3rd at 4 o'clock P.L.I.
The claim of Rita Anziani in the amount of $ 1,000.00 re :;certain automobile
accident at iyiarsh and Ida 6treets was refused and disallowed, on motion of R.P•Howell
seconded by L.J.Defosset.

Commissioner of Public Health and Safety reported adversely on the application
of Mrs. J. Chavez for license for Billiards and Pool at 162 Higuera jtreet, and on his
,notion seconded by J.B.Berke:neyer the application was denied.
Application of R.J.Bettencourt for permit to connect premises at 183 Stennet
Street ( Outside City ) to main public sewer on Murray Avenue was laid over for future
consideration.

C.A.Younglove appeared and requested the Council to contribute toward the expense
of decorating ( electrically ) a certain tree in his private garden at 1122 Broad Street,
as a Public Christmas Tree. Matter discussed, and on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by
J.B.Berkeaeyer it was decided that the City appropriate the sun of " 20.00 for said purpose.
