City CleYk i.isyor City Hall, i:londay, !.larch 2nd 1936 - 7 :30 City Council met in regular session - vice rresident of the Council L.J.Defosset presiding. 1 Present : J.3.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, E.p.Howell, Joseph Leary. Absent : Idayor L.F.Sinsheimer. The minutes of February 17th and 24th were read and approved as read. The following applications for permit to build were granted Enos V. Ser s - Repairs to building part lot 6 Block 54 Cost_. 20.00 Lucretia Gill - rebuild house Lot 3 Block 50 reeds Addition Cost 1,400.00 Application of the County of San Luis Obispo for permit to construct 320 feet of full width sidewalk and curbing on the east side of Osos Street between ionterey Street and Palm Street granted on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary - work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. Spplication of Larry Simpson for license for Bakery at 680 Higuera Street, and two applications of veterans' of Foreign Wars, by him G. :,aid, dated Pebruary 24th and ?arch 2nd. respectively, were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and 3afet for y report to the Council, on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by .p.Hovvell. The applicatiuu of Foster and i;leiser Company for permit to erect a sign board in block 104, south side of Higuera 5trcet between l:iorro Street and 0sos Street, referred to the Commissioner of Public wealth and 6afety for report, on motion duly seconded and carried, as, was also, the application of undle!s Incorporated for permit to erect a Neon Sign for John Diodati, 875 19ionterey Street. The reports of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer for the month ending January 31st 1936, and the report of the City collector for the month of February 1936 were received and ordered placed on file. It was moved by H.P,Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer that 25.00 be contributed to the Salvation Army fOr transient relief in the City of San Luis Obispo for the month of :_arch 1936. The motion carried and it was so ordered. ' A communication from Mrs. H.S. Nisbet, 1436 Essex Street, re noise in water pipes, °eferred to the Commissioner of Public L�orks with power to acct. Claims against the City for the :month of February were ordered paid, on motion )f .P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer, subject to the approval of the heads of the •espective departments and the :,ia; or. License report of the City Collector for January quarter referred to the police department.
