The minutes of May 4th and 11th were read and approved as read.

On.motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by :;.P.Howell the application of the Union Oi
ompany for permit to renew telephone poles at corner of Pismo and Garden Street, and at
ismo and Broad Streets granted .
Application of Santa Maria Gas Company for permit to dig trench across high Stree
t the intersection of Beebee Street for the purpose of repairing gas line was granted on
vorable report and motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary.
In a communication Rev. John Harnett, General Director of Fiesta de las Flores ,
requested permit to use City Streets for Fiesta Parade, Saturday morning June 6th. On
motion of P..P.Eowell seconded by J.B.Berkeieyer the request was granted, and it was ordered
that cooperation of Police Department be given at the ime, as well as throughout Fiesta.
The request of tie American Legion Auxiliary, by Corra F. ;,astman Secretary, and of
Veteran's of Foreign !'!ars, by J.H.T:elson, for per:ait to sell poppies on City Streets,
Saturday, Miay 23rd granted on motion ;.duly seconded and carried.
The report of the Police Judge for the month ending April 30th 1936 received and
ordered placed on file.

Re : cooperative work, Forest Service - Fire Protection ; On motion of
R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemayer it was ordered that $ 100.00 be appropriated from
the City 'rater Fund, to be applied on salary of Patrolman for San Luis Ohispo dater Shed
for the summer season of 1936. Clerk authorized to draw warrant .
Applications of Veteran's of Foreign Wars, dated April 21st and 28th, and May 4th
for Boxing at the 14inter Garden, were granted on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by 1
H.P.Howell.
On motion duly seconded and carried the application of Rundle's Inc., for permit
to hang signs at the following,named locations was granted with the provision that work be
done under the supervision of the City Engineer and in accordance with the provisions
of Ordinance :

Clarence Brown - Neon outline 1037 Chorro Street
