City Council met in regular session - !_ayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
The minutes of September 8th and 14th were read and approved as read.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell :

avorable report and motion of :J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell.
The reports of the City Clerk and the Police Judge for the month of august viere
ceived and ordered placed on file.
The application of A.l'I.Hudson, of Commercial Sand Blast Co., Los Angeles, for
egistration as Class " E " Contractor together with Surety Bond in the amount of 6 500.00

license fee of 6 15.00 and the application of Bradbury and 4lorthington, by E.R.Bradbu!ry,
or registration as Class " F " Contractor together with Surety Bond in the amount of $ 200.
license fee of $p 10.00 were received, and on motion of R.P.Hotlell seconded by J.B.Ber
id Bonds were approved and petitions granted.
Applications for the regular quarterly licenses were presented and referred to

On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by R.P.Howell the application of l:=innie Willis
for license for Lunch Counter at 887 Palm Street was denied.
Application of Rundle's Inc. for permit to install porcelain face neon sign
flush with face of concrete building at Bay's Llarket., corner !,Iarsh and Broad Street, grante
with the provision that said sign be installed in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance and work be done under supervision of the City 74gineer.
Application of J.B.Price for permit to build a garage, lot 14 Block 115 Ingleside
Tract was again taken up. Building Inspector submitted report in detail. Said build
having been constructed in violation of the provisions of Building Code, the application
,as denied, on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by 3.P.Hoi,,,jell. City Attorney to advise
legal phase at the neat meeting.
Application of J.G.Jones for permit to ramp sidewalk, Lot 15 and 16 Block 7,
Broad and !,arsh Street, was continued to the next meeting.
