City Hall, i,onday, December 71th. 1936 - 7 :30 P.I:I.
City Council met in regular session - :ayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, ?.P.Howell, Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : I1one.
The minutes of !November 16th.* 23rd..and 30th were read and approved as read.
The following application for permit to build was granted on motion duly
seconded and carried :

On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by = .P.Howell the following applications
or licenses were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigati

Petition of T.br.omii for transfer of licenses for I,?erchandise ( Groceries) and
igars Sideline at 100 'iguera Street to _.K. Tsunashima referred to the Commissioner of
ublic Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council.
Application of Farman Pacific Company, by Vim Ash, for registration as Class "D"
ontractor, together with Surety Bond in the amount of a 1000.00 and registration fee of
25.00 received, and on motion of "R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the Bond was
pproved nd the application granted.
Petition of Arthur Fisk, 1061 Islay Street, re removal of trees, referred to th
Commissioner of Public Forks for investigation and report.
The following petitions were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and
Safety for investigation and report :
Valley Electric Co - To hang Neon Sign at 720 riguera St - Iirode O'Day Shop
City Board of Education - to install -1 - 550 gallon gasoline storage tank
on Lot 18 Block 11 Central :addition - Junior
High School property.

Petition of George W. Bates for perriit to break curb and ramp sidewalk, also to
fill in park space :rith concrete walk at --outzahn Garage •,1ras granted on motion of
J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by =.P.Howell.
:application of Santa I:!aria Gas dompany for perrait to recondition 8" gas main -
clean, paint and wrap, and install 3" main on i,Iorro titreet between Liarsh Street and Santa
Barbara Avenue, referred to the City engineer for report to the Council.
Petition of Santa :::aria Gas Company for permit to cut hole 21 x o' in pavement
on Higuera Street between Garden Street and 3road Street for purpose of repairing Street
light gas service referred to the Commissioner of Public 'r.'orks frr investigation and report
on moti.on of P.P.Eowell seconded by Joseph Leary, as %gas also, the application of I,iidland
Counties Public Service Corporation ; 236 for permit to remove poles and %!ires on south
side of Chorro Street between I:•iarsh Street and Islay Street and string new wire on Telephone
Company poles on north side of Uhorro Street.
The report of the City Treasurer for the ..ionth of October , and the report of the
City Collector for the month of .,ovember 1936 , were received and ordered placed on file.
Report of the City Collector on unpaid licenses for October quarter 1936, referre
o the Police Department for investigation and collection, on motion of R.P.-Howell. seconded
