City Council met in regular session - I.iayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
The minutes of February 15th and 23rd were read and approved as read.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
J.B.Berke:neyer seconded by Joseph Leary :

Applications of R.L.Dennis for permit to build a warehouse on lot 14 }lock 124

residence and garage on lot 6 block 3 Buena Vista Addition were laid over for further
investigation and report.
The application of Ralph Chapek for permit to raze a building on lot 2 Block
119 ?.:urray and Church Addition granted on motion duly seconded and carried.
Application of rundle's Inc:, for permit to erect a Pdeon Sign for J.J.Donovan
at 968 _'; :onterey Street referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for
investigation and report to the Council.
On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by L.J.Defosset the petition of San Luis
Obispo Chamber of Commerce for permit to string a banner across Higuera Street between
Chorro Street and Garden Street, advertising Poly loyal Live Stock Show , I;Iarch 12th and
13th was granted on motion duly seconded and carried.
Application of I:Iidland Counties Public Service Corporation n 239 for permit to
replace a 14* iron gate with a 24' iron gate on Walker Street between Pismo Street and
Pacific Streets granted on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by I.P.Howell.
Application of Santa Ialaria Gas Company for permit to cut holes in pavement at
certain locations, particularly set out in application on file, for purpose of cutting off
discontinued street light services at main line was received and laid over. = Tlr. Charles
of the Santa Maria Gas Company to appear before Council.
The report of the City Treasurer for the month of January, and the report of
the City Collector for the month of February 1937 were received and ordered placed on file
The request of C.A.Anderson for the establishment of Street Grade at the north-
westerly corner of I:iountain view Street and North Broad Street was received, and the
matter referred to the City Engineer for investigation and report to the Council..
Claims against the City for the month of February 1937 were ordered paid, on mot:
