City council met in regular session - Vice. President of the Council
L.J.Defosset presiding.
(Present : J.B.Berkemeyer, Z.J.Ddfosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary.
Absent : I.Iayor L.F.Sinsheimer.
The minutes of April 5th., 8th. and 12th. were read and approved as read.
The following applications for per:ait to build were granted on motion daly
seconded and carried :

On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by Joseph Leary the latter permit being granted with
the provision that work be done under the supervision of the Building Inspector, and also,
with the approval of the State .Housing Commissioner.
The Merchandising Bond of A.L.Bodle with Prank Fisher as Surety, was approved
and the Surety accepted. on motion of R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
On motion duly seconded and carried the following applications for permit to
signs were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the
ouncil :

Application of S.P.Fay and P. Parker, by Raymond Schey, for license..f or Shooting
lery at 1028 iviorro Street referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for relport.
Russell C. Hoyt and Lyle Carpenter addressed the Council relative to proposed
imming pool project.
On motion of J.3,.Berkemeyer seconded by P.F.I-Hovell the application of Rudolph's
ectric, by ii.',.'.&udolph, for permit to hang a double face Ileon Sign for Jones Transportati
ervice, corner Broad and ,iarsh Street, granted with the provision that work be done in
ccordance with the provisions of Ordinance and under the supervision of the City Engineer.
Application of _ :_idland Counties Public Service :orporation IJr- 241 for work upon
outii Street between Broad Street and Beebee Street continued.
Application of D.R.Hanan for permit to' connect with sewer on Graves Avenue betwe
bbott Street and Loomis Street granted on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer.seconded by R.P.Howell,
n approval of the City Engineer.
Unfinished matters continued to the next meeting of the Council.
On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the meeting adjourned to
Monday, April 26th 1937, at 7 :30 P.I;i.
