The following applications for permit to erect signs were referred to the Com-
missioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council :
Rundles.Inc - Double face iveon dign for ynrs Lillian A. dtillings at 968 monterey Street.
?Double face Neon Sign for El Camino Liquor Store, R.C.Horton, 960 monterey St
Petition of H.W.Rudolph for permit to remove a gasoline storage tank from 166
Chorro Street to 681 Howard Street again laid over for approval of the City Engineer.
Petition of ,,?rs Mary B. Harris for permit to install stub sewer connection for
future use on Morro Street between Upham Street and Church Street granted, work to be done
under supervision of the City Engineer.
Application of Edward L. Williams for stub sewer connection on Chorro Street
between Center Street and Mountain View Street granted, on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer second
)y R.P.Howell, work to be done under supervision of City Engineer.
Petition of Cline's Electric Shop, by A.V.Cline, for Permit to hang an Electric
sign for Postal Telegraph Company at Anderson Hotel, Monterey Street granted, on motion of
L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer, with the provision that work be done according to,_.::.-:-
the provisions of Ordinance and under the supervision of the City Engineer.
On favorable report and motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the

as a side line were granted.
Communication received from Clarence•Rigdon, Committee Secretary, re celebratio
in connection with official opening of Highway # 101 over Cuesta. After discussion Clerk

Application of Salinas - San Luis Obispo # 101 Highway Association, by Victor
r permit to erect a bulletin board on Higuera Street between Osos Street and Santa Rosa
treet was withdrawn by Pat Roberts of Roberts Sign Company.
Re : Public Alarm System : On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by L.J.Defosse
e Clerk was directed to advertise for Bids for a Public Fire Alarm and Public emergency
arm System .complete, with all equipment, material and supplies necessary for a complete
stallation thereof in the City of San Luis Obispo; Bids called for October 19th 1938
to 7:30 o'clock P.M., and then- publicly opened and read.

On motion of R.P.Howell seconded by L.J.Defosset the meeting adjourned to Friday,
