Defosset Motion declared lost, Re: Streets of Major Importance: Discussion. On motion of J. B. Berkemeyer seconded by R. P. umvell the City Attorney was directed to prepare a Resolution desig- nating Streets of major importance in accordance with a certain map of the Highway Com- mission on file in the office of'the City Clerk and in addition thereto, designating as a part of the major street system - Higuera Street from Santa Rosa Street to Grove Street and Grove Street from Higuera Street to Monterey Street. The motion carried. Matter of Plumbing Code made a special order of business for May 10th, 1939 I t 7 :30 P. M. On motion of J. B. Berkemeyer, 'seconded by R. P. Defosset, the City Engineer was re- quested. and directed to furnish the Council with data in detail,and estimate of cost for the imrrovement of Santa Barbara !':venue and French Streets; also a formula of the cost of various types of pavements to be used by the Council in determining the specific type of pavement to be used on any particular street. The motion carried. Re ^olution No. 418 (New Series Resolution approving the determination of the Department of Public 71orks of the State of California as to the location of uigh- :•toy routes through the City of ^on Luis Obispo was passed and adopted, with the pro- vision that if there was no objection on the hart of the Highway Department, a temporary clause would be inserted in such Resolution, on motion of J.
