Ordinance Teo. 220 (New Series) - An Ordinance providing for the Regis- tration of bicycles in the City of San Luis Obispo and providing a penalty for the violation thereof, was introduced and passed to print on motion of 1. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy by the following vote: Ayes: W.H. Brazil, R.P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball. Noes: Joseph Leary Absent: None Ordinance No. 221 (New Series) - An Ordinance regulating the construction, sanitation and conduct of Trailer Camps within the City of San Luis Obispo; prohibiting squatters and squatter camps within said city and providing penalties for the violation of such ordinance, was introduced and passed to print on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil by the following vote: Ayes: W.H. Brazil, R.P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball Noes: None Absent: None ( Joseph Leary not voting) Re: "Stop and Go Signal" at Higuera & Chorro Street intersection: Matter discussed. It was moved by W. H. Brazil and seconded by F. C. Kimball that the City Attorney draw a lease contract with Cline's Electric Company covering installation of "Stop and Go Signal" at Higuera and Chorro Streets; that the Engineering Department be directed to install conduit for such signal. The motion carried. Joseph Leary voted "No ". On motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Howell the meeting adjourned Approved this 16/ day of A 1940. Rhodes for the San Luis Obispo City Schools for a permit to construct a warehouse for Visual Aids Department, of adobe brick, on Lot 29 Block 32 was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report, on motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell. The amended application of Mary Hischier for a residence and garage on Lot 7, Block 5, Buena Vista Tract to cost $$3900.00 was granted on motion of R. P. Fitzpatrick , part of Lot 1, Block 99, Mission vineyard Tract, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works, with power to act. The application of Sears Roebuck & Co, to recess curb and construct a sidewalk ramp on the west side of Morro Street between Higuera and Marsh Streets was granted on favorable report of Commissioner R P. Howell, upon motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Br -zil. Upon motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil the following applicati were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report Application of L. Heckathorne - for permit to hang a neon sign at 320 Higuera Street for the Richfield Oi1Co. The application of Ralph Duncan to transfer a Class "B" Filling Stetion license and Merchandise License at 636 Higuera Street to Edwin H. Robinson was referred to the missioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report, on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by T4. R. Brazil. A letter was received from the County Tax Collector giving notice of the pro- posed sale, by him, of several parcels of property within the city of San Luis Obispo, was referred to the City Attorney for investigation and report, upon motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell. A petition was received from John and Mary Christensen asking that Woodbridge Street be opened from Lawton Ave. to Story Street and was referred to the Iliayor and the Commissioner of Public 'ilorks for investigation and report. The report of the City Clerk for the month ending November 30th, 1940. and the report of the Police Department for the month of November 1940 were received and ordered placed on file. Due to the absence of the Assistant Superintendent of Streets the hearing was continued to Monday, December ?3, 1940 at 7:30 o'clock P. M., upon .motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by Voi. H. Bre:zil.
