Kimball presiding. Present: W. H. Brazil, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball Absent: R. P. Howell, Joseph Leary The following application for permit to build was granted on motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy: A. M. Pettenger - 3 Stall Garage with Apt., Lot 1, Blk. 23, Phillips Synd. Addn. Cost $ 1000.00 The application of San Luis Obispo Wired Music Co. by J. F. Patrick, Manager, for license for Music Vending Machines in the City of San Luis Obispo was granted., on motion of ti's. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy. The application of Jack Coursey, 1141 -B Marsh Street for Taxicab license was granted on favorable report and motion of 17. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy. Notification from the State Board of Equalization under date of January 7, 1941 of the application of Lizzie M. Thompson dba "Gingham Girl" for license for "On Sale Beer " :at 1240 Monterey Street.was before the Council. On motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by V1. H. Brazil the matter was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety to take such action as he may deem necessary and report back to the Council. The petition of Ban vdargon for transfer of license for Restaurant, Cigars Oide- line and Soft Drinks at 645 Higuera Street to L. E. Tiernan was referred to the Commissioner of rublic Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council. The petition of Neon Sales & Service for permit to hang a neon sign at the Wine Shop at 1019 Chorro Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, for investigation and report to the Council. The following.applications for permit to connect with sewer were referred, on ion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy, to the Commissioner of Public Works and the City Engineering Department, with power to act: es - Breck- Street between Fairview Street and Johnson Ave. L. A. Cook - Branch Street, between King Strect and Hutton Street. The application of H. H. McBride for registration as Class "E ".contractor together with U. 3D. Fidelity & Guaranty Co. bond in the amount of $500.00 and registration fee of $15.00 was received and on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil, the surety was accepted, bond approved and registration granted. The report of the Police Judge for the month ending December 31, 1940 was received and ordered placed on file. Communication from the Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference relative to f 1 i u 1
