Kennedy asked about a proposed Taxicab Ordinance and was informed by Acting City Attorney Harris that he will have morelinformation at a later Commissioner R. P. Howell recommended salary raise for Samuel Schultz and C. Escalante and on motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by W. h. Brazil, the salary of Sam Schultz was raised from $150.00 to $160:00 per month, one -half to be paid out-of the Public Works Fund and one -half out of the Water Fund; the salary of C. Escalante from $135.00 to $145.00 per month, as of June-lst, 1941. William A. Barton, radio Station KVEC staff member, :was given a vote of appreciation by the Council when it was lealmd that he leaves next week as a selectee.
