The applications of W. I. Davis and Tony Tavares for sewer connections was
held over until the next meeting.
The following applications for sidewalk and curbing were granted on motion of
R.P.Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil:
Chas. Maier— curb and gutter and recess 17 'ft. for driveway
South side of Pismo St. between Broad and Nipomo Sts,
Mrs. C.R. Strader - sidewalk of the west side of Lawton St. between Mitchell
Drive and'Caudill Streets.
The application of Rundle's In for permit to hang a double faced neon sign
for Al Calkins at 987 Monterey St. was granted on motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by
Ralph C. Kennedy; work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer and in accord
ante with existing ordinance.
The applications of John Patrick for City License for Mechanical.Amusement
Devices and Vending Machines was granted on motion of W.. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph
C. Kennedy.
The application.of Geo. Kearney for Taxicab was denied, without prejudice,
on motion of W. H.' Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell.
The Delinquent License list for the July 1941 quarter was again referred to
the Police Dept. for collection:
The final passage of Ordinance No. 229 (New Series) was again held over until
such time it is called for by the Council.
Resolution No. 623 (New Series) - A Resolution providing for additional salar
to be paid to the Chief of the Fire Department was passed and adopted on motion of W.H.
Brazil, seconded by R.P. Howell upon the following roll call vote:

Noes: None
Absent: None
On motion of R.P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil it was ordered that John
Fernandez salary be raised from $130.00 per month to $135.00 as of October 1st, 1941.
On motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil the meeting adjourned
to Tuesday, October 14th, 1941 at 7:30 P. M.

Commissioner of Public Works, with power to act, on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded
by W. H. Brazil.
The following applications for sidewalks and curbing were granted on motion of
Ralph U. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil; work to be done under the supervision of the
City Engineer:

The application of the Pacific Gas and Electric Co: No. 281 for permit to set
10 steel poles, string wire and install 8 -600 candlepower street lights was granted on
motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy; work to be done under the supervisi
of the City Engineer.
Communication received from the Vincent Roof Service submitting to the Council
specifications for material and labor to roof the new Municipal Building. Same was ordere
f fled.
The proposed parking ordinance for truck delivery control in the down -town area
was discussed by the Council, but no action taken at this time. The City Clerk was in-
structed to write to the City of Santa Barbara requesting information on "Delivery Ordinance"
in their city.
Application of C. D. Stowe for permit to install an underground storage tank
at Osos and Marsh Streets was granted on motion of W.H. brazil, seconded by Ralph C.Kennedy;
work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer.
Petition of San Luis-Obispo Theatres Inc.•by Mr. Roseberg, for permit to have
parsing lot on the corner of-Palm and Osos Streets was granted on motion of 'N.H. Brazil,
seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy.
