Resolution No. 631 (New Series)_ Resolution amending the specifications for the proposed construction of enlargements and improvements to the Sewage Disposal Plant was passed and adopted on motion of Ralph C. Kimball, Joseph Leary Noes: None Absent: None Resolution No. 632 (New Series) - A Resolution Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute.an application to the Division of Water Resources of the State of California for the appropriation of water from an unnamed spring, tributary to Steiner Creek was introduced and adopted on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Rowell by the following roll call vote: Ayes: W. H. Brazil, R.P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball, Joseph Leary Noes: None Absent: None Commissioner R. P. Howell asked that the week of November 12th to 19th inclusive be set aside as "Clean Up Week" in San Luis Obispo. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil it was ordered that the surety be accepted, bond approved and registration granted. Notification received from the State Board of Equalization for transfer of "Off Sale Beer and 'Nine" license from E. D. Ward to Ed. A. Roberts and Gerald W. Baker dba Ward's Cash Market at 839 Marsh St; same was ordered received and filed. Communication received from B. R. Lepley relative to the traffic on Johnson Ave. and Monterey Streets, caling to the attention of the Council, the dangerous and near accidents that occur; same was ordered received and filed. Letter received from the Stateiof California, Division of Highways, District V. attaching first supplemental memorandum of agreement for expenditure of the lj4-cent gas tax for State Highways for the current biennium. On motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell same was referred to the City Attorney and the City Engineer for study; after discussion the matter was again taken up by the Council; and Resolution No. 633 (New.Series) - Resolution of the City Council of the City of San Luis Sbispo approving First Supplemental Memorandum of Agreement for expenditure of 1/4 cent gas tax allocated for State Highways was passed and adopted on motion of 77. The reports of the Police Department, and the Police Judge for the month of October, 1941 were ordered received and filed. The tax statement from the County of-San Luis Obispo for the 1941 -42 taxes on the Fred L. Garret property purchased by the City of San Luis Obispo, known as Lots 2 & 39 Block 2, Breck Tract, was referred to the City Attorney, and he was authorized to' handle the matter, A group of Taxicab men-appeared before the Council complaining of unfair practices of some taxicab companies now operating in the city;.matter was discussed at length and was referred to the City Attorney for report. The proposed Health Ordinance covering the Food and Drink Establishments for sanitation supervision of restaurants was presented to the Council by the Health Inspector Hansen of the Health Department. After much discussion and on motion of W. H.• Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell, it was referred to the City Attorney to be put in proper form. and to be presented to the Council at the next meeting.
