The reading of the Minutes of February 2nd, 5th and 9th were waived.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
R. F. Howell, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy:

Communication received from the Railroad Commission advising of reduced rates
for domestic gas,ard communication from F. C. Stolte Co. regarding steel for the Sewer
plant was ordered received and filed on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P..

The report of the City Clerk for the month of January, 1 °42 was ordered
received and filed.
The spplicati=n of Scott S. Jordan for registration as a Class "C" contractor,
together with General Casualty Co, of America bond in the -amount of X2,000.00 and regis-
tration fee of $50.00 received and.on .motion of Kalph C. Kennedy, seconded by R.r.Howell,
it was ordered that the surety be accepted, bond arproved and registration granted.
The following applications for permit to connect with sewer were granted on
moti7 ;n of n.F. Howell, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy; work to be done under the supervision
of the City Enaineer:
Smee Plumbing Co.__ to connect with sewer for Robert Batty on
Woodbridge St, between Lawton and Story Streets
Smee Plumbing Co. - to connect with sewer for Mr. Zuiderweg on Beebee St.
between Branch and Sandercock Streets.
A petition was presented to the Council by residents of the area adjacent to
Leff and Nipomo Streets a.skin8 for street imcrovements in this year's improvement project.
