Brazil; work to be done under the supervision of the city engine The petition of the Southern kacific Milling Co. for permit to install one 55,0 gallon gasoline tank and pump on the Southern Pacific Milling Company's property at Santa Barbara Ave. and High Street was referred tc the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report. 1 9 0 The application of John Tartaglia for registration as a Class "D" contractor, together with U.S.ridelity and Guaranty Co. bond in the amount of $1000.00 and registration fee of $25.00 received and on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by vr.H. Brazil it was ordered that the surety be accepted, bond approved and registration granted. The application for transfer of license from A. J. Carlson for rooming house at 676 Monterey St. to Lucille Poe was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report. Communication received from the County Roof Service offering an adjustment on-the claim filed as per specifications, and it was ordered that the amended bid price be accepted and a warrant be drawn in payment for the bill on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by H. P. Howell. The application of G. B. Stapp for permitto connect with sewer on Chorro Street between Islay and LeffStreets was again held over. The application of the Bud Rose Sign Service for permit to hang a wood and metal sign at 725 Pacific Street was denied until such time he conforms with the ordinance on motion of .'J. H. Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell. The applications of Martin Montano for City License for Soft Drinks and Cigars Sideline at 100 Higuera St. was granted on motion of R.P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil, as was also the application of Ben R. Harris for an Auto Court of 8 units at 1575 Monterey St. Re: Petition of Marcel 'Carlon et al relative to street light bet:>>een Palm and Monterey Streets: Mr. R.P. Howell reported that the -light has been ordered and petition was ordered filed. Re: Petition of James H. Murphy et al relative to certain street improvement work on a portion of Caudill -St. and Lawton Ave. was ordered received and filed for future reference on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil. Resolution No. 660 (New Series) - A Resolution providing for the execution of ' an Agreement between the City of San Luis Obispo and Ernest Martin, et al relating to a water pipe line to be constructed on the Southerly extension of Johnson Street was passed and adopted on motion of R.P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil upon the following vote: Ayes: 'W.H.Brazil, R.P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. �;. Kimball Noe.s.: None Absent: Joseph Leary A letter was received from Mike Goldtree addressed to the City Clerk under date of March 15th registering a complaint about the extension of the Goldtree line. Same was ordered received and filed. Mr. G. B. Stapp appeared before-the-City Council complaining about the treatment that he has received from the City of San Luis Obispo regarding the water rates and meter service at his residence. After much discussion the Mayor advised him to take the matter up with Mr. Howell after the meeting. Mr. Jack Gooding and Mr. Ed. Atkinson appeared before the Council outlining the original plan of the Auxiliary Police and control system and asked the City Council to contact the County Board of Supervisors and make arrangements for a room in the base- ment of the new County Court House on the Palm Street side, to be known as the "Central Control Station ". They were advised by Mayor Kimball that this action would be presented to the Board of Supervisors at their next meeting, and the committee would be advised as to the results. Resolution No. 661 (New Series) _ A Resolution determining that the Public Interest and necessity requires the acquisition by the City of San Luis Obispo of certain real property for Airport purposes, and directing the institution of a condemnation action was passed and adopted on motion of Jd.H.Hrazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy upon the following vote:
