Kennedy, F. C: iimball,' Joseph Leary Absent: None The following applications for permits to build were granted on motion of R. F. Rowell, seconded by 1. H. Brazil: Filda Hansen.- Renewal of permit for garage, Lot "C" - Central'Addn. Rlk 16- 150.00 S.L.O. HiPh School Dist.- Temporary class rooms at Jr. High School - Bloc:c 11, Central Addn. Cost 3700.00 Petition filed by Cline's Electric Shop for permit to hang board and metal sign for the U.S.O. Building, 839 Palm St. was granted on motion of .V11. H. Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell; sign to be hung in accordance with existing ordinance. Fetition filed by Cline's Electric for permit to hang a neon sign for the Bradley Dress Shop at 1118 Garden St. was referred to the Commissioner of Public health and Safety for investigation and report. The applications for business licenses for Billiards and Pool, Cigars Sideline and Soft Drinks, filed by Cery Arcaina, 834 Palm St. was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report. Notification received from the State Board of Equalization under date of June 16, 1942 for license application for "Beer Importers" for Lagomarsino's. Same was ordered filed. Letter received from Steve Zegar protesting the operation of taxicabs within the city limits with no established place of business; same was referred to the Com- missioner of Public Health and Safety for investigati ,)n and report. Permission was granted to transfer the license of the Morro Rooms et 1011 Morro St. conducted by Mrs. Jessie E. Hughes to Mrs. Martha Utley, on motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell. This being the time and place fixed for hearing for all persons interested in or objecting to the .proposed vacation of said portion of High Street. The matter was now taken up; There were no written or verbal protests made against this action. Resolution No. 671 (New Series) - A Resolution ordering the Vacation of a portion of High Street was passed and. adopted on motion of R. P. Rowell, seconded by - -Y. H. Brazil upon the following vote: Ayes: `�I.H. Brazil, R.P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball, Joseph Leary Noes: Ncne Absent: None The following licenses for the April Quarter, 1942 were ordered cancelled on motion of 7:7. H.Brazil, seconded by R. P.
