to Iber F. IQolting, Sr. was granted on motion of ';d. H. brazil, seconded by k.P.Howell.
Notification received from the State Board of Equalization regarding the
tr.gnsfer or license for "On Sale Beer" from E. D. bray to Iber F. aolting dba The Owl Club
at 974 Monterey Street. SE-me was ordered received and filed.
Commitsioner Kennedy reported that he will have more information_ of a later
date regarding the cost on war risk insurance for the city of San Luis Obispo.

The City Council: met in regular session - Mayor F.C. Kimball presiding.

The minutes of July 6th and 13th were read and approved as read.
Communication received from the State Board of Equalization re:
"Off Sale Beer and 'Wine" license for Albert A. Bay and Ed. Greenal dba Bays Market, was
referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report.
A Card of Thanks from A. )McDonald and the Sanford Fa::aily, ackno, wledging
floral piece from the City was ordered received and filed.
The transfer of License from Mildred Richardson, 1817 Usos Street to
Guy M. Richardson and Frank Burror:s was granted on motion of 1N.H.Brazil, seconded by R.P.
Howell
The application for Taxi Cab license filed by Betty Moss at 546 Higuera
Street was denied on motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy.
Communication received from the War Production Board, Washington, D.C.,
re: issuance of building permits was ordered received and filed in the office of the
Engineer, on motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by W.H. Brazil.
The claim filed by Anita M. and Edwin Walter Unarzst was again held
over awaiting the engineer's report.
Insurance figures were submitted by Commissioner Kennedy on i`!ar Risk
Insurance for City rroj)erty and Equipment. The matter was discussed and the City Clerk
was instructed to write the City Clerk of Salinas concernirw. the type of insurance carried
and the cost of same.
The City Clerk was instructed to virite.'J.S. Jordan, Supt. of the S. P.
Railroad Co. again, calling attenti n to the deplorable condition of the higuera and Marsh
Street crossing and request that proper repairs be made.
C-- mmissioner Joseph Leary reported he had purchased signs from the
Freeman Sign Co. directing the location of the City Library, at a cost of :130.00.
On motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil, the meeting
adjourned to July 27, 1942 at 7:30 P. I,%
