A Special Meeting was held by the City Council on August 6, 1942 at 11 o'clock A.M. upon the consent of all members of the City Council, for the purpose of adopting a Resolution. ,Mayor Kimball presiding at the meeting. rresent: W. Kimball, Joseph Leary Absent: None Resolution No. 678 (New Series) - A Resolution Requesting County Board District No. 3 to Sell Certain Pipe to be installed in the City Water System was passed and adopted on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W.H. Brazil upon the following vote: Ayes: W. H. Brazil, R. P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball, Joseph Leary Noes: None Absent' None On motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W.u. Brazil the meeting adjourned. Approved this day of City Clerk Mayor City Hall, Monday, August 10, 3942 - 7:30 P. M. City Council met in adjourned session - R.P. Birra for permit to enlarge porch on part of Lot 50 Block- 48, M & C. Addition, at a cost of $150.00 was granted on motion of W. H.Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy. The application filed by Henry Walley for Long House at 522 Higuera Street and the application filed by Boriack Bros. for Taxicab at Marsh and Santa Rosa Streets was referred to the Commissi::ner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil. The petition presented by Ida M. Holdsworth et al recuesting the City to extend Fig Street to Hathway Ave. and Toro Street from Olive -Street to its intersection was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works and the Engineering Department for inves- tigation and report. Communication received from the Best Ever Meat 1'roducts Co. asking the City to refund the license fee for their truck license in the amount of $2.50 for the 4uly Quarter, as they have not been operating in this City since the last quarter and that it was an oversight on their part in not notifying us. It was ordered that this refund be granted on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by W. H. Brazil. The report of the Police Judge for the month of July, 1942 was ordered received and f iled.
