City Hull, Monday, Nov. 16, 1942 - 7:30 P. M. 931
City Council met in regular session - Mayor F. C. Kimball presiding.
Present: W. H. Brazil, R.F.Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball, Joseph Leary
Absent: None
The minutes of November 2nd �Prere read and aii proved as read.
The following application for permit to build was granted on motion of
R. P. Rowell, seconded by 4. H. Brazil:
Adella Moen - Garage, Lots 7 & 8, Block 2, Caudill Tract Cost 140.00
The application of Southern Counties Gas Co. for permit to break pavement
to install gas service on Higuera Street between Chorro and Morro Streets was granted on
motion of R.P. Howell, seconded by `.N. H. Bra7il; work to be done under the supervision
of the City Engineer.
The application of R. C. Bird for City License for two taxicabs at 286
Higuera St. dba "Victory Cab Service" .vas referred to the Commissioner of Public Health
and. Safety for investigation and report on motion of R. P. HoYjell, seconded'by `N.H.Brazil.
The transfer of license from Alverez & Carbonell at 866 Palm Street for
Restaurant, Cigars Sideline and Soft Drinks, to Chas. Jackson was granted on motion of
VI. H. Brazil, seconded by R. P. Howell.
Communication received from the U. S. 0. Organization relative tc the City
of San Luis Obispo assisting in leveling and preparing the grounds for landscaping around
the LT. S3. 0. Building was referred to the Commissioner of Public ?Yorks for report back
to the Council, on motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy.
Com=munication received from F. C. Stolte Co. under date of November 6,
asins for an extension of time for coariletion on the Sewer Treatment plant. Same 'r:as
ordered received and filed.

Police .fudge's Report for the first 9 days of Nov. 1942, together with the reports on
accounts of the Police Judge as filed by the Auditor on November 9, 1942.
Ordinance No. 244 (Ne•:v Series)_- i.n Ordinance of the City of San Luis
Obispo relating to restricted lighting was finally passed on motion•of R.P.Howe11,
seconded by N. H. Brazil upon the following vote:

The application of Sue L. Lee for license to operate a roomin,g house at
1421 Garden Street was held over until the next meeting.
The application of H..T. Dubin for permit to lay and construct a 4 ft.
sidewalk for a distance of 330 ft. on Brook Street .vas granted on motion of R. P.Howe11,
seconded by W. 7. Brazil; work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer.
On motion of 111. H. Brazil, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy, the meeting
adjourned.
