The minutes of December 7th and December 14th, 1942 were read and approved The following application for permit.to build was granted on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by "J. H. Brazil: J. 91. Brazil, the following appli- cations were granted; work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineering Department. L. Rosenberg - Cut curb and ramp walk for driveway on the west side of Higuera Street between Osos and Santa Rosa Street. Dave Rouse - 123 ft. of sidewalk and curbing on the west side of Leff Street between Beach and Nipomo Streets M. Hilderbrand - 52 ft. of sidewalk and curbing on the west side of Leff St..between Beach and Nipomo Street. Virginia L. Sousa - 54 ft of 5 ft. sidewalk and curbing on the west side of Leff St. between Beach and Nipomo Streets. IVarren Sandercock- 54 ft. of sidewal and curbing on the west side of Leff St; between Beach and Nipomo Streets The application of Richfield Oil Corp. for permit toielocate sign on Higuera Street between Osos and Santa Rosa Street was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report. The report of the City Collector for unpaid licenses for the October quarter was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety and the Police Dept. for collection, The report of the Acting Police Judge A. E. Mallagh for the first 14 days of December, 1942 was ordered received and filed on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil. Communication received under date.of Dec. 18, 1942 from J. M. Anderson and W. H. Mills requesting a salary raise was referred to Commissioner R. P. Howell for recommendation to the Council on motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by R.P. Howell. The application of George White for permit to move garage from Lot 4, Flock 59 , M & C. Addn. to Lot 2, Block 5, M. & C. Addn. was granted on- motion of R.P. Howell, seconded by 'd. H.
