City Hall, I4londay, March 29, 1943 -
City Council met in adjourned session - Ivlayor F. C. Kimball presiding.
Present: R.P. Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F.C.Kimball, Joseph Leary
Absent: 4.H.Brazil.
The following permits to build were:granted on motion of R. P. Ho.vell,
seconded by Joseph Leary:
H. J. Bello - Garage - Lot 8, Loma Vista Addn. Cost 180.00
Harley Gill - Rebuild garage and sleeping room above, Lot l,.711 Blk 63
Buena Vista Addn. Cost 200.00

The following applications for sidewalk and curbing ;were granted on motion
of R. P. Howell, seconded by Joseph Leary
Frank Rothber - 50 ft. of sidewalk and curbing on the east side of

C.F. Jones - 16 ft, of sidewalk and curbing on the South side of
Ivlontalban St. between Lincoln and Stenner Streets.
Application for a fence 45 ft. by 80 ft. to be used for Victory Garden, lot 8, Loma Vista
Addn, for H. J. Bello,
The transfer of license of the Mission Garage at 1011 Chorro Street from
Ben C. Dennis to L. H. ': +right was granted on motion of R.Y. Howell, seconded by Joseph

Communication received from Vincent ivlunch tendering his resignation as Police
ficer was referred to the Commissioner of Public Heelth and Safety for acceptance.
Communication received from the Pacific Coast Bldg. Officials Conference re-

Mr. John Vega of the S. F. Milling Co. appeared before the Council as':ing

On motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Howell, the City Attorney
as instructed to ,•write State Senator Jesperson and Assemblyman Fsreybret protesting the
ill now beforethe Legislature extending the time of filing claims against cities from
days to one year.
On motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy, the City Clerk was
uthorized to refund the $2.00 collected in error to Dorothy B. Friddle for fence permit.
On motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Howell, the City attorney
I instructed to draw up an Agreement between the City and C.E. Bruce regarding an
asement for drainage ditch on Lot 8, Block 12, Buena Vista Addn. and the City Clerk was
tructed to draw warrant for -;1.00 ( Street Improvement Fund) in payment for said agreement
