OfNan Noes: Joseph Leary Absent; None Commissioner R.P.Hot^aell sirchted the need of a new street sweeper and stated Ihe thoucht the necessary priorities could be obtained and that a representative from an 1equinment firm would be present at the next meeting. Commissioner Clyde '2. O'Nan brought up the question of the installation of la "Stop Sign" at Santa Rosa and N.arsh Streets. On motion of Ralph C. The City Council met in a Special Called i,.eeting; L:ayor r'.C.Kimball presiding. Present: R.P.Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F. C. Kimball, Joseph Leary, Clyde T. O'Nan Absent: None The meeting was called for the purpose of considering and acting upon the following matters to -1xit: (�) A Resolution giving consent to the housing Authority of San Luis Obispo County to operatein the City of San Luis Obispo (2) Such other and further matters as may properly come before such meeting. "Resolution No. 702 (New Series) - A Resolution of consent for the housing authority of the County of San Luis Obispo to operate in the City of San Luis Obispo: NFiTsRE'AS, the Housing Authority of the County of San Luis Obispo has been duly authorized to exercise-its powers under the Housing Authorities Law of the State of California and desires to operate in the City of San Luis Obispo; and VMREAS, a housing authority has not been authorized to transact business in the City of San Luis Obispo; and 'PJHEREAS, Section 3(f) of the Housing Authorities Law of the State of California prohibits the Housing Authority of the County.of San Luis Obispo to operate in any city located in the County for which a local authority has not been-authorized to transact business unless the consent of the governing body of such City shall have been obtained; BE IT RsSOL ED by the City Council of the City of San Luis Obispo; Section 1. That, in pursuant to Section 3(f) of the housing Autijorities La:; of the State of California, consent is hereby given to the ousing authority of the County of San Luis Obispo to overate iz the City of San Luis Obis_ro. . Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to furnish the Housing Authority of the County of San Luis Obispo and appropriate officers and agencies of the Federal Government with such certified copies of this Resolution as may be necessary for their purposes. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect inmediatelyl R.P. Howell moved that the foregoing resolution be adopted as introduced and read, which motion was seconded by Clyde T.
