Kennedy,, seconded by R.P.Nowell, the city Attorney was instructed to bring in a tentative form of ordinance for the leasing of a portion of the Sewer Farm;.said ordinance authorizing the City Clerk to advertise for bids. Mr. Miller representing the Adrian ufg. uo. of tian dose appeared. before the Council offering to sell the city a ••A and B Street Sweeper' at a cost of U6500 and stated that he thought the necessary priorities could be obtained; matter was discussed whereupon Commissioner Clyde T. O'Nan and R.P.Howell were instructed to investigate further on the proposition. , On motion of Clyde T. O'Nan, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy, the meeting adjourned to July 22nd,..at 7:30 o'clock P.I.4, upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: R.P.Ho:rell, Ralph C. Kennedy, F.C.Kimball, Joseph Leary, Clyde T. Kennedy, seconded by R.P.Howell; wort; to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. The applications of Chas. Jackson for permit to conduct.and carry on the business of Restaurant, Soft Drinks and Cigars Sideline, at 866 Palm Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for. investigation and report, on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R.P.Howell. Communication received from Marie Doheney requesting the City to oil Murray Ave., and on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R.P.Howell, same was ordered received and filed. Communication received from Eugene Roberts tendering his resignation as Capta9 of Police and requesting reinstatement to his former status of Police Officer, and on motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by Ralph Co Kennedy the request was granted. On motion of Joseph Leary, seconded by R.P.Horrell, Lee Johnson, was appointed a3. Captain of Police as of August 1, 1943. Motion carried. The transfer of license for Lodging House from I,11. N. Davis to D.G.Patterson at 1007 Chorro St., and license for Lodging House from A.A.Bay at 1190 Monterey St. was again held over. Ordinance No. 251 (New Series) - An Ordinance providing for -the lease of certain real property owned by the City of San Luis Obispo ( more particularly. described in Ordinance) was passed to print on motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by Joseph Leary upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: R.P.Howell., Ralph C.
