The petition of R. G. True for permission to remove trees from curb line_at 819 Branch St. was granted on motion of R. Y. Howell, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy. The petition of Archie A. Cheda for permission to excavate for sewer at 1737 Garden St. was granted on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy; work to be done under the supervision of the Engineering Department. Seaman. Transfer of Redwood Tree Cafe, 1254 Monterey St. from B. Hemen to Richard J. Rosa Transfer of Filling Station at I::onterey & Essex Streets from J. P. Sousa & Earl H. Canet to D. •7J. Dickerson Transfer of Chitwood Bootery at 860 Higuera St. from J. ;T. Fisher to K. H. Viaterstreet Notification from the estate Board of Equalization for "On Sale Beer" license to Leonardo Amescua dba Michoacan at 866 Palm St. was received and filed on motion of R. F. Howell, seconded-by Joseph Leary. The official bend of James F.-Waldemeier as Fire Chief, written by the Indemnity Insurance Co. of America in the amount of �,�1000 wis approved by Ieayor F. C. Kimball and on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by Joseph Leary it wIss ordered the surety be accepted and bond approved. -Motion carried. Communication from the State Dept. of Public Health, Sacramento, addressed to Dr. Bearg, County Health Officer, relative to City Sewer Disposal Plant Operation, was ordered received and. filed for future reference on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Rude for building permit to construct steel and corrugated iron building in Block 29 at a cost of $2000, and petition to cut curb and build ramp for driveway for steam cleaning plant, also, application to operate Auto La were granted on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by Ralph C. Kennedy. Permission was granted Robert L. Cate to excavate and install drain in Lot 24, Block 11, '.Ieills Addn. on motion of R. P. Howell., seconded by Ralph C.
