04/30/1945380 Garbage Franchise was again discussed and the City Clerk was instructed to request a certified profit and loss statement as of December 31, 1944 to be submitted by the San Luis Obispo Garbage Company. Commissioner Howell stated the city would have a general clean -up week starting April 30th, to May 5th.,; inclusive. The City Attorney presented a proposed Recreation Ordinance to the Council for discussion, and was instructed to draw up ordinance in line with Charter Provisions on motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Howell; Joseph Leary voting "No ". On motion of Clyde T. .;,O'Nan, seconded by Joseph Leary, Bernhardt Preuss was appointed Library Trastee to fil the vacancy of Mrs. Hub Hollister. On motion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by R. P. Communication from the Division of Highways, Re: Post -war Project No. 67 covering construction of a Freeway between Milds Station and the intersection of Marsh and Higuera Streets, together with Agreement covering proposed construction was approved by the following Resolution: Resolution No. 740 (New Series) - A Resolution providing for the execution of an Agreement betTrieen the City of San Luis Obispo and the State of California, acting by and through the Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, relating to the construction of a limited Freeway, the closing of Harford Street and the connection of certain city streets to such limited freeway was adopted on motion of R. Kennedy,G.Wesley City Attorney presented proposed Recreation Playground Ordinance to the Council for consideration and after discussion it was moved by Commissioner.
