The application of Earl M. Bernard for Mdse. License at 1814 Osos St. was grant on motion of Clyde T. Of Nan, seconded by F. L. Gist, also, Cigars Sideline license. The ! erchandising Bond of L. J. Morganti in the amount of $200 with the London and Lancashire Indemnity Co. as surety was received and on motion of F. L. Gist, seconded by G. W. Baker, the surety was accepted, bond approved and license ordered issued. The Merchandising Bond of F.R.Scott, together with certified check in the amount of $200 was referred to the Commissioner of Finance with power to act. Communication from the Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo County requesting street to be opened between South and High Streets was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report on Motion of F.L.Gist, seconded by Clyde T.0'Nan. 4 42 A Resolution accepting a Deed Communication.from.League of California cities, submitting charge_of $275.00 dues for year 1946; on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by F.L.Gist, the City Clerk was instructed to draw warrant it the amount of $275.00 for payment of same. Communication from G. I. Beckwith Re: drainage condition on street at High and Beebee Stre -ts was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report .on motion of Clyde T..O'Nan, seconded by G.W.Baker. Communication from A. L. Ferrini requesting the necessary supplies for repairing fence on Laguna property; onmotion ofR. P. Howell, seconded by G. W.Baker, the Commissio of Supplies was ordv+red to purchase the material needed. Communication from the City Clerk submitting 912 Initiative Petitions by qualified electors, requesting the passage of the proposed Ordinance, the substance and text of which are as follows: " An Ordinance providing for the appointment of and Prescribing terms,of members, Organization, powers and duties of the Park, Playground and Recreation Commission; and Repealing Ordinance No. 215 (New Series) ". and requesting said Ordinance be submitted forthwith to the vote of the people at a Special Election. It was moved by G.W ;Baker, seconded by F.L. Gist that the Initiative petitions filed at this meeting by the Coordinating.Council with sufficient signatures attached thereto be passed without alteration. Ordinance No. 267 (New Series) - An Ordinance providing.for the Appointment of and prescribing terms of members, organization; powers and duties of the Park, Play- ground and Recreation Commission; And repealing Ordinance No. 215 (Neva Series) was passed on motion of'G.,W.
