Mr. H.B. Douglas was appointed member of the City Planning Commission to
replace Richard Willett by common consent of the Council.
The City Clerk was instructed to call for informal bids on Gasoline and
Oil Products for the city's requirements for the balance of the year.

The report of the City Clerk for•the month of December 1945 was ordered received
and filed on motion of F. L, Gist, seconded by R. P. Howell.
The petition signed by 28 residents of the Santa Rosa, Stenner, and Murray Ave.
area, protesting the operation of a Carnival on the vacant land in this District was
received and filed on motion of Clyde T. O'Nan, seconded by G. W.Baker.
The Mez °chandising Bond posed by Frank P. Silveira as principal, and F. S. Coelho,
Joseph C.Reis, and Fred H. Johnson as security, was presented to the Council aid on
motion of F. L. Gist, seconded by Clyde T. O'Nan, the bond was approved, surety accepted
and license ordered issued.
Resolution No. 757 (New Series) - Resolution of the City Council of the City of
San Luis Obispo adopting Budget and approving:memorandum of Agreement of expenditure of
1/4 cent gas tax allocated for streets,-of major importance was passed and adopted on
motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by F.L. Gist upon the following roll call vote:

Communication from the San Luis Obispo City Schools requesting the cancellations
of taxes for the second half of the year 1945 -1946 on the Taylor property recently acquirei
by the Schools, was referred to the City Attorney for study and report.
On motion of F. L. Gist, seconded by Clyde T. O'Nan the Clerk was authorized to.
draw warrants to cover payment to the following:
To:_Collector of Internal Revenue for payment of Withholding Tax for Oct. Qte in the
amount of $ 1513.95
Treasurer of the U. S. for payment on Agreement for 50% of cost on water installation.
Agreement dated Oct. 89 1945 in amount of $1729.80
Ordinance No. 268 (New Series) - An Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 250 (New
Seriesd was introduced and passed toprint on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by Clyde T.
O'Nan upon the following roll call vote:

for extension of refund agreement between the City of San Luis Obispo and Goldtree
Investment Company was passed and adopted on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by G. W.
Baker upon the following roll call vote:

On motion of G.W. Baker, seconded by R. P. Howell, the Bid submitted by the Richfield..
Oil Co. in the amount of .125 per gal. on Ethyl Gasoline and .115 per gal. on regular.
gasoline was accepted and the Mayor was authorized to sign the contract covering the
purchase for the city's requirements for the balance of the year 1946,and by common'
consent of the Council the bid submitted on oil by the various companies were taken under
advisement and acted on at a later date.
The petition of Baker and Roberts for permit to erect fence on Lot 3 Block
118 -B in Reeds Addn, was granted on motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by F. L. Gist;
Councilman G.W. Baker refrained from voting.
The application of Chas. H. Simmons for permit to lay an 8J ft. concrete
driveway in sidewalk area at 217 N. Broad St. was denied without prejudice, on motion of
R. P. Howell, seconded by Clyde T. O'Nan.
