Kennedy, Clyde T. O'Nan Absent: G.1W. Baker On motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by Clyde T. O'Nan the following appli- cations for sidewa Lk- and curbing were granted: Mary Walters - 37 ft. of sidewalk on the north side of Buchon St. between Morro and Chorro Streets ' Mary Walters - 24 ft. of sidewalk on the west side of Morro St. between Buchon and Pismo Streets. Elsie Fitzpatrick- 37 ft. of curb on the north side of-Buchon St. between Morro and Chorro Streets The following applications for street excavation were granted with the provisi that work be done under the supervision of the engineering department: Permit No: 62 filed by Southern Counties Gas Co. to install mains on Johnson Ave. between Ella and Bishop Streets was referred to the Commissioner of Publiclorks, with power to act, on motion of F. L. Gist, seconded by Clyde T. O'Nan. On motion of Clyde T. O'Nan, seconded by F. L. Gist the following sign permits were granted: Permit No. 39 - i "iled by Clines Electric to hang Neon sign at 1017 Chorro St. Permit No. 40- " " Bill Boriack to hang metal sign at 1005 Monterey St. Applications of the Pacific Gas and Electric Co. to do certain pole work on Essex St. between Monterey and Higuera Streets and on Fixlini St. between Upham St. and ' Spring St. were granted on motion of R. P. Howell , seconded by F. L. Gist; work to be done under the supervision of the Engineering Department. Petition filed by Andersen's Ready to Serve Frozen Food for permission to have a loading zone on lower Higuera St, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, with power to act, on motion of R. P. Howell, seconded by F. L. Gist. Application filed by Long's United Shows for a Carnival, show dates Oct. 8th to 13th incl. at Exposition Park was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by F.L.Gist. Application filed by L. P. Simpson for Vending Machine�.Operator, vending mach to be placed in various locations, was granted on motion of F.L.Gist, seconded by R. P. Howell. Earle Carron posted " ?200 in lieu of Merchandising Bond for a city license for Mdse. ( Fabricks and trimmings) at 993 Higuera St., and on motion of F.L.Gist, seconded by R.P. Howell, the surety was accepted and license ordered issued. Application for transfer of license for Filling Statibn from D. W. Barnes to G. A.Wyatt at Tlionterey and Essex Streets was granted on motion of Clyde T. O'Nan, seconded by R. P. Howell. II Notification from the State Board of Equalization for transfer of "On Sale Beer" License from Richard J. Rosa to Jane s Vlaming at 1254 Monterey St. and transfer of "On Sale Beer" license from Anna Pohan to B. W. Brovan -at. 986. Monterey St. Communication received from Clyde T. O'Nan, tendering his resignation as ouncilm.an, and on motion of R. P.Hoviell, seconded by F. L. Gist it was ordered that the signation be accepted with regrets. Gist, R.P.Howell, Ralph C. Kennedy Noel: None Absent: G.vu.Baker Clyde T. O'Nan not voting. Communication from Henry E.Cox, making application for appointment as Council- man. After discussion, same was ordered received and filed. The following sign permits were granted on motion of Clyde T. O'Nan, seconded by F. L. Madonna requesting that the City of San Luis Obispo supply water to the new Tract No. 43, reimbursing them for water lines. This matterwas again held over. Communication from W. Worthington requesting a loading zone in the 1000 Block was granted on motion of Clyde T. O'Nan, seconded by F. L.Gist. Sigh Permit No. 31 filed by Coast Neon Co. to hang a metal sign at 855 h'-arsh St for Edith Naslund was granted on motion of Clyde T. O'Nan, seconded by F. L. Gist. The transfer of the Curlde Cab '-�o. from J. Pauline Blair to Jesse A. Munez at 960 Higuera St. was granted on motion of Clyde T. O'Nan, seconded by F.L.Gist. The following matters were again held over: Transfer of Mission Taxi Co. Communication from City Planning Commission Re: Appointment of members Ordinance No. 275 ( New series) - An Ordinance establishing land classificat and districts within the incorporated territory of the City of San Luis Obispo, and regulating the uses of property therein, etce was passed to print on motion of R.P. Howell, seconded by F. L.Gist upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: R.P.Howell, F. L. Gist, Clyde T. O'Nan Noes: Ralph C. Kennedy Absent : E . W. Baker Communication from Harry Neville Jenks relative to completion of additions to the Sewage Works; same was ordered filed. On motion of F. L. Gist, seccna;ded by R. P. Howell, the California i%otor Express s granted permission to construct curb and gutter in the 1200 Block Carmel St. to match the adjoining property of the Pacific Freight Lines. The report of the City Auditor, J. M.MacLean, showing Report on Books and :'accounts for the fiscal year 1945 -1946 was presented to the Council and ordered received and filed on motion of F.L.Gist, seconded by R.P. Howell.
