The City Council met in Special Called Ideeting for the purpose of considering
the adoption of a Resolution endorsing the.purchase of the Salinas River Dam, Reservoir
and facilities by the County of San Luis Obispo. lvia;;or Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.

Absent: Kline Williams
Resolution No. 815 (New Series) - A Resolution by the City of SanLuis
ubispo endorsing the transfer of the Salinas River Reservoir, Dam and Facilities, to the
Oounty of San Luis Obispo was passed and adopted on motion of G.W. Baker, seconded by R.P.
Howell upon the following roll call vote:
Ayes: G.1d.Baker, Wm. 0. Hall, R.P.Howell, Timothy I. O'Reilly
Noes: None
Absent: Kline Williams
The matter of extending the present city limits was discussed.
Oh motion of G.W.Baker, seconded by 111m. 0. Hall, the meeting adjourned to
'r'lednesday, June 11, 1947 at 7:30 P.Tv., upon the following roll call vote:

The City Council met in adjourned special meeting; Mayor Timothy I. O'Reilly
Present: G.W.Baker, Wm. 0. Hall, R.P.Howell, Timothy I. O'Reilly,Kline Williams
Absent: None
The Council met to continue the discussion of Annexation.
1�ayor O'Reilly suggested to establish a program and work along the most
feasible plan and offer all outside tracts adjoining the city the opportunity to come in, -I
stating what the city had to offer. all members of the Council were in agreement with
the plan as outlined.
It was moved by VIm. 0. Hall, seconded by G.W.Baker, that the City extend an
invitation to all populated areas contiguous to the City to file notice of intention to
circulate a petition for annexation; that the city.can offer greater police and fire
protection, street Lights, street signs, street maintenance, better water facilities at
lower rates and sewer service at a rate reduction. That the City will aid and assist
in every possible way, within legal limits, to obtain facilities such as surfaced streets,
sewers, curbs, etc.
