Sewage Works Enlargements; on motion of R.P.Hoiell, seconded by G.W.Baker, the Mayor was

was-read-to-the Council; it was moved by R.P. Howell,.. seconded by Wm. 0. Hall, the City
Clerk-was authorized to write to Mr. Jenks-accepting his offer'to'serve as consulting
Sanitary Engineer on a preliminary study, design and estimate of cost of'Municipal Water
Filtration Plant as per terms set forth in his letter addressed to the Mayor and City
Council dated-August 23, 19470
Ordinance No. 287 (New Series) - An Ordinance levying a tax for the curren,
fiscal year 1947 -1948 upon all taxable property-within-the City .of San Luis - Obispo, and
fixing the rate of such tax -was finally passed on motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by G.W.
Baker upon-the-following -roll call-vote: -
Ayes: G.W.Baker,'Wm. O.,Hall, R.P. Howell, Timothy I. O'Reilly
Noes: "None

Ordinance No: 288-(Vew Series) - An-Ordinance providing for the, sale- of
certain real property by the-City of San Luis Obispo to J. L. Hoerntlein was finally passed
on motion of R.P.Howe-ll- seconded -by G.W. Baker-upon the following roll e.sll vote:

On motion of Wm 0. Hall., seconded by G:W.Baker, the*City Clerk was instructed
Ito call for informal bids for the renewal on the City Comprehensive and Liability Insuranc
(which expires on Oct. 8; 1947, and also request for quotations on "Products :Liability
(Insurance" - bids to.be opened at 7:30 P.M. on Sept. 15, 1947.
