City Hall, Thursday, Sept, 18, 1947 - 7:30 P.M.

Continued discussion on the "Land Use Plan" Ordinance was taken up at this
The complaint-filed by M. A. Fitzgerald, in behalf of the Golden estate Creamery
was considered and on motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by Wm. 0. Hall, it was suggested
that the word "Creameries" be included in the wording of the Ordinance as a conforming
use, and the City Clerk was instructed to refer the matter back -to the Planning Com-
mission suggesting that they pass a Resolution incorporating the word "Creamery" in
the proposed Ordinance.
The foliowing'applications for transfer of licenses were granted on motion of
Kline Williams; seconded by Wm. "0. Hall:
Gemeda Tea Room - from Alameda Doyle to Frankie Chiesa
Bill Boriack Garage from Wm. Boriack to Meyer and Willett - 1005 Monterey St.
The reports of the City Clerk, &Building Inspector for the month of August,1947
were ordered,fiied.
Communication from Dr. L. V. dos Remedios; Acting Health Officer requesting the
Council to legally appoint a Health .Officer,- on motion of Kline Williams, seconded by
Wm. 0. Hall, the City Clerk was instructed to write Dr. dos Remedios, authorizing him
as the Health Officer for the City of'San Luis Obispo. Motion carried.
Communication from the Department of Public Health, State of California, and
from Harry Neville Jenks Re: State Board of Health Permit Hearing was read to the Council,
the Mayor requested all members of'the Council to be present at-this hearing- the date
set for the hearing is Oct. 21 1947 at the Board of Supervisor's Chambers, Court House,
at the hour of 10:00 A.M.
On motion of R.P.Howell, seconded by Kline Williams, the Mayor and City Clerk
were authorized to sign Agreement with the State of California, Dept. of Public Works
on the Proposed Improvements on State Rt. #2 and State Highway Rt # 147 on behalf of
the City of San Luis Obispo.
On motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by Kline Williams, the Commissioner of
Public Works; R.P.Howe11 was authorized to hire the necessary -equipment to complete the
tunnel under the old highway at the north limits of the city adjacent to the Reservoir.
Claims filed by Herbert and Margaret Wegis in the amount of $250. and of R.E.
Christie in amount of $210 for damages caused by the -City Street Department spraying
oil on 'Yialnut St. were referred to the Insurance Carrier -The Firemans Fund.
On motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by R.P. Howell, the Council revoked the
Contractor's 'License of Coast Neon Co. for registration as a Class "E" Contractor
as they do not have a State License issued by the State Department, and the fee
authorized to be refunded:
The Mayor appointed Vim. T. Smith as a member of the Park, Playground and
Recreation Commission-to fill the unexpired term of Russell Bullock; and on motion of
Kline Williams, seconded by Tim. 0. Hall, the appointment was approved by the Council;
