By common consent of the Council it was agreed that Donald G. Hale ( fireman)
who was hired as a relief fireman April 1, 1948 be appointed on a 6 month's probationary
period from the above date and present pay rate on second year schedule or $262.00
per month as of July 15, 19490
Ralph Westfall appeared before the Council at this time resubmitting an offer
of $37,500, for a part of the Laguna property to be used for a real estate subdivision.
Mayor O'Reilly sugo:ested that his firm submit a formal offer for the part of the property
they were interested inbuying, as the Council would need time to study snbh an offer.
On motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by Douglas Carpenter, the meeting adjourned
to Tuesday,' July 19, 1949 at 5 P.M. to consider awarding the bid on the Ferrini Road
Water Line, by the following roll call vote:

The City Council met in adjourned session; Mayor Timothy I.0'Reilly presiding.

Absent: D.M.Carpenter, Frank V.Woods
The Council met to consider the awarding of the bid for the Water Main Extension
Line on Ferrini Road.

After discussion it was moved by Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by Kline Williams that the Council
accept the City Engineer's recommendation and award the bid to Affel R.Johnson in the
amount of $4,010.70 and the bid checks posted to bye returned to the unsuccessful bidders,
upon the following roll call vote:
Ayes: Wm.O. Hall, Timothy I. O'Reilly, Kline Williams
Noes: None
Absent: None
On motion of Kline Williams,, seconded by Wm. 0. Hall, the meeting adjourned.
