Communication from City Engineer, Guido Ferini, together with specifications and 9
Dosal Requirements for Phillips Addition Sanitary Improvement District No. 1, and the
stimated cost of the work, was accepted by the Council and on motion of D.M.Carpenter,
econded by Kline "Villiams, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare the necessary
esolution.
Tentative Map of Tract No. 55, Hager. Subdivision Unit No. 1, was presented to
he Council by Dr. Horace Ha.qen, and on motion of Wm. O.Hal.l, seconded by Kline Williams,
he map was referred to the Planning Commission.
On motion of D.M.Carpenter-,,'seconded by Kline Williams, the meeting adjourned to

The Council met in adjourned session; Playor Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.

This being the time set as per advertised notice for receiving bids on One Electric
Imprinting Machine, and One Electric High Speed Metal Embossing Machine; no bids were
receivdd and on motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by Kline Williams, the Commissioner of
Supplies was authorized to purchase the necessary equipment from the Addressograph Sales
Agency, upon the following roll call vote:

Communication from the Pound Master requesting certain repairs at the City Animal
Shelter was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, on motion of Kline
Williams, seconded by D.M. Carpenter.
Communication from Harold C. Middleton, et al, requesting that Ellen Way be paved
before winter, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works, with power to act, on
motion of Fran!- V.Woods, seconded by D. M.Carpenter.
The following applications for transfer of City Licenses were referred to the Com-
missioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of Kline

Application of Salvation Army for Social Service Unit at 1131 Broad St. was
approved on motion of Frank V. Woods, seconded by Timothy I. O'Reilly.
Delinquent License List for July quarter, 1949, as submitted by the City Collector,
was referred back to the City Collector for collection, by order of the Council.
2 40 Mayor O'Reilly appointed Fred L. ^ist as member o� the City Planning Commission
to sucn_eed H. D. Douglas whose term expired June 30, 1949. The appointment was unanimously
approved by the Council.
Ordinance No. 318 (Near Series) -- An Ordinance amending Sections 2 and 4 of Ordinan e
No. 300 (New Series) entitled: " AnOrdinance of the City of San Luis Obispo imposing a
License Tax etc. was finally passed on motion of Kline Williams, seconded by Wm. 0. Hall,

City Attorney Geo Andre reported.that the City is no longer obligated to furnish
free city ,rat,er to members of the Anholm Families under agreement dated o 3
and on motion of Wm. O.Hall, seconded by K1ine,Williams2 the City Attorney was instructed
to advise their attorney,.A.V. Muller, by letter, of the Council's decision.
City 'Engineer, !'=uido Ferin.i, reported on the Laurel Hills Subdivision, stating
the owners fully agreed to comply with the new subdivision ordinance.
The following applications for transfer of City Licenses were granted:
1. - 1023 Club - License Soft Drinks - 1023 14orro St,. from Iber F.fdolting Jr. to
Alvena Nolting
2. - Maddens Mobile Service- 505 Higuera St. from R.W. Madden to Don Bradner, dba

Resolution No 914 (New Series) - A Resolution of the City Council of the Ci;.y
of San Luis Obispo, California, approving and accepting proposed city charter: etc.

Resolution No 915 (New Series) - A Resolution authorizing City Attorney to
prepare an ordinance calling for a Special Election on Proposed Bond Issue to be held
on the 21st day of November, 1949; Also to prepare suah other documents as may be necessar
to include therein the question of the rejection.of adoption of the proposed city charter,
and all other documents necessary for said Special Election was passed and adopted on
motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by Kline Williams upon the following roll call vote:

On motion of Kline Williams, seconded by Timothy I. O'Reilly, the City Clerk was
authorized to have 250 copies of the proposed charger made up in book form.
Mr. Roldredge presented revised plans of the new City Hall, stating that a
changb inthe plans would mean an entirely new set of plans, if the proposed changes are
approved. The matter was referred to the City Engineer for study and report.

filed.
