Motion -lost.
Communication from County Housing Authority Re: Transfer of operation of
Housing units was referred to Commissioner of Public Works for study and report on motion
of Frank V.Woods, seconded by D.M.Carpenter.
Communication from Leonard L. Buechler Re: charge for burning grass on lots
3 and 4, in the amount of .17.50, was cancelled by common consent of the Council on motion
of ism. O.Hall, seconded by Frank V. Woods.
Petition received from H. A. Gorham et al ( 76 signers) was ordered received
and filed for future reference as work requested is outlined on program.
Deed from State of California on property along Freeway, south of the City was
referred to the City Attorney for study and report on motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by
D. M. Carpenter.
Dr. Horace Hagen appeared before the Council at this time requesting the City
accept a deed to Sidney Ftfteet in order to get F.H.A. approval for the proposed sub-
division , also requesting a hard surface on Augusta Street and a sewer line to the
Goldtree Tract. No action was taken by the Council at this time.
Communicationfrom Division of Highways, submitting list of property acquired
for highway purposes, and requesting cancellation of taxes was held over awaiting report
of Commissioner of Finance.
On motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by Frank V. Woods, the meeting adjourned
to Friday, November 25, 1949 at 5 P. M., upon the following roll call vote:

Noes: None

The Council met in adjourned session; Mayor Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.
Present: Wm. O.Hall, Timothy I.O'Reilly, %Frank V. Woods
Absent: D.M.Carpenter, Kline Williams
The Couhcil met as a canvassing Board and in accordance with the provisions
of the Nity Charter reguations, now proceeded to canvass returns of the Special Municipal
Election held Monday, November 21, 1949.
The tabulation followine shows results of votes cast at suchelection and as
canvassed by the City Council. The number of votes cast at such election being 3532.
