The City Coli.ncil met in regular session; Timothy I. O'Reilly presiding.

The minutes of the meeting of November 6th and November 13th were approved.
This bein.7, the time set as per advertised Notice for receiving Sealed Bids
for the purchase of City of San Luis Obispo Filtration Plant Bonds. The following
bids were publicly opened and read:

On motion of faun. 0. Hall, seconded by D.M.Carpenter, the bids were referred to
the Commissioner of Finance, �d th power to act.
Communications:
1 - From Division. of Hi,hways Re: remitting balance of contract agreement for relocating
water mains was read to the Council and on motion of Wm.O. Hall, seconded by D.M.Carpenter,
the Cite Clerk was - instructed to write a letter advising them that they do Tiot wish to
remit the balance of :'6000 qt this time but will continue as in the past, making the usual
payments as per agreement.
2- A copy* of letter addressed to Leonard Lenger, Chairman of the Planning Commission was
read to the Council relative to a Proposed Resolution esking the City Council to take such
steps as are deemed necessary to secure to the public the full use of the sidewalks along
property at the northeast corner of Osos and Marsh Streets; it was referred to the Com-
missioner of Public corks for disposition.
3- Communication received from Santy Leguina, Chairman of the Park, Playground and Rec.
Commis ion and presented to the Council advising them that the Commission accepted the
resignation of Thor Olson, Supt. of Recreation, to become effective Dec. 15, 1950, to-
gether i•rith a copy of his resignation. On motion of Timothy I. O'Reilly, seconded by Wm.
0 Hall, the cmmunication was ordered received and filed.
Petitionfiled by Mrs. Paul Hopkins et al, representing the members of the
Emerson P --rent- Teacher Assn., and petition filed by Doris 0. Pennington, et al rep-
resenting memberF of the Junior Matrons of S.L.O. were presented to the Council, stating
they wish to go on record urging the City Council to tat -e the necessary action to have
fluorine added to the citir water. The petitions were ordered received and filed on motion
of Timothy I. O'R.eill1r, seconded by Wm.0.Hall. This matter was brought to the attention o
the Council at a previous meeting and same was referred to the Commissioner of Public
Corks for study and report.
it 6 Mr. Trahin , Mgr. of the Chamber of the Commerce, appeared before the Council
asking permi.=,sinn to have Hi.ruera Street, between Chorro and Garden Streets, blocked off
on next Saturday afternoon, November 25th-, for distribution of Christmas candies to the
children. On notion of 'Im. 0. Hall, seconded by D.M.Carpenter, it was referred to the
Commis^ionPr of Public Health and Safety, with power to act.
Renort of the Cit- Clerk for the month of October was ordered received and filed.
On motion of D.M.Carpenter, seconded by Timothy I. O'Reilly, it was moved that
the rommissinner of Public 'forks, 1trm. 0. Hall, be authorized to purchase a Burroughs
Ri.l_lin� Machine to bp used in the Collector's Office, at a cost of $1810.43 delivered.
Motinn carried.
On recommendation and motion of 11m. 0. Hall, seconded by D.M.Carpenter, it was
moved that a temporary Stop Sign be installed on Santa Rosa St. and Marsh St. going
south, anO I.Tith.,the provision that same be in-t-illed under the supervision of the City
Fn7i.neer.
Ordinance No. 336 (Net.! Series) - An Ordinance providing for the sale and exchange
of certain real property owned by the Citir of San Luis Obispo for certain real property
owned by 'Maria Alberti was finally passed on motion of Wm. 0. Hall, seconded by D.M.
Carpenter upon the follo7dng roll call vote:

Ordinance No. 337 (Net, Series) - AnOrdinance providing for the sale of Real
